The paper proposes an approach to the solution of the practically very important problem of linking multi-state systems’ reliability and their operation processes. To involve the interactions between the systems’ operation processes and their reliability structures that are changing in time a semi-markov model of the system operation processes is applied. Application of the proposed methods is illustrated in the reliability, risk and availability evaluation of the port grain transportation system.
