Microbial contamination in chemical industry products can be a major issue. Without monitoring of the installations, microbial growth in raw materials and intermediate products can damage manufacturing process performances and equipment operations. Also, if maintenance of the equipment is not satisfying, microbial drifts can impact final product quality. Both, the addition of antimicrobial preservatives and preservation treatments require a constant biological monitoring activity, because the sooner the problem is detected, the easier the estimation of defective products and preservation efficiency.
