Analysis of ultraviolet signals generated by corona discharges on long rod HV insulator

The paper presents analysis results of optical signals which were emitted by corona discharges occurring in the vicinity of a long rod HV insulator. The study was conducted under laboratory conditions using an UV camera. The UV signals were registered by the camera as the supply voltage was decreased.
