Scharakteryzowano wybrane problemy badawcze, w szczególności dotyczące modeli kanałów radiowych, anten nasobnych, fizycznych i numerycznych modeli ciała człowieka.
Owing to the miniaturisation of electronic systems and devices a tremendous progress in wireless Communications has been observed in recent years. In 2014 the number of cellular phones and smartphones has reached 7 billion, which is comparable to the world population. One of the emerging trends is the development of miniature wireless sensor nodes which can operate in the direct vicinity of the human body e.g. be embedded in clothes or implanted. These nodes, operating as a network, can be used to monitor physiological parameters of people for medical purposes or to protect people working in hazardous conditions. In the paper selected research problems of wireless body area networks (WBAN) are discussed, such as numerical and physical phantoms, wearable antennas and indoor WBAN channel models. Future development trends are outlined.
