Realizacja Trasy Sucharskiego jest częścią budowy i modernizacji układu drogowego Gdańska w latach 2007-2013 w celu połączenia miasta z siecią dróg krajowych (A1 i S7) oraz częścią projektu europejskich tras E75 i E77 w Polsce. Koszt jest szacowany na poziomie 820-1250 milionów złotych. SKANSKA S.A. wygrała w 2010 roku przetarg na budowę, obejmującą (między innymi) opisywane w artykule wiadukty WD7 i WD8.

The completion of the Sucharski Route is a part of construction and modernization of the road layout of Gdańsk in the years 2007-2013 in order to connect the city with the network of national roads (A1 and S7) and a part of the design of the European routes E75 and E77 in Poland; the cost is estimated at PLN 820-1250 mln. In 2010 SKANSKA S.A. won a bid for the construction of, among others, the viaducts WD7 and WD8, presented in the article.
