Abstrakty

The article analyzes the demand for LNG transport and the current fleet of marine vessels used for the carriage of liquefied natural gas. It presents also an order book for new ships to transport of LNG. At the same time, the material tests a fleet of vessels that use LNG as a source of power. It presents typologies of currently operated fleet, and points out the new orders for such type of vessel. In addition, reference is made to the grounds for using LNG as maritime fuel.
