Abstrakty

EN

The study covers Silurian deposits of the proximal part of the early Paleozoic Baltic Basin located along the SW rim of the East European Platform. In the eastern part of the Podlasie Depression in the Widowo IG1 section, the lower Silurian (Telychian) deposits represent neritic facies and middle Silurian (Homerian and Gorstian) - shoal, lagoonal and barrier facies developed on a carbonate ramp with diverse and numerous benthic fauna. The Silurian chronostratigraphy and lithostratigraphy of the Widowo IG 1 section have been verified. The lithological and microfacies description of the Wrotnów and Terespol formations (Llandovery and Wenlock) has been specified.
