PL

Zagadnienie kosztów w transporcie samochodowym należy współcześnie do istotnych zagadnień ekonomicznych funkcjonowania rynku transportowego. Transport samochodowy realizujący nie tylko przewozy ładunków i pasażerów, ale także biorący istotny udział w realizacji łańcuchów dostaw powinien być poddany badaniom zarówno struktury kosztów rodzajowych, jak i poziomu jednostkowych kosztów a także cen. Celem artykułu jest zatem zaprezentowanie wyników badań, które powinny być wiążące dla polityki transportowej państwa określającej kierunki rozwoju tej gałęzi transportu, jak i mieć charakter benchmarkingowy dla pozostałych uczestników rynku transportowego.

Costs represent one of the most essential factors of the carriers’ competitiveness on the road transport market. The results of the studies, having been conducted regularly at the Motor Transport Institute, on the average unit costs at the freight carrying road transport enterprises, are received with interest by the society of the road carriers, especially in the times of significant changes in the transport costs causing the decline or even loss of profitability of the road transport enterprises. Awareness of the changes in the average unit costs of the road transport as well as their structure in Poland is used at the transport enterprises for the evaluation of their own position on the competitive market and for comparisons with the applicable freight rates. For the proper functioning of the enterprise as well as good economic results, the problem of prices is also important in terms of their relation to the costs, and in the consequence, their effect on the revenue level of the enterprise. For this reason, this article present numerical data concerning both unit costs of the vehicle/kilometre, as well as the level of the freight rates, affecting the road transport market in 2011.
