Abstrakty

The similarity between two flows of a real medium in the geometrically similar area does exist when similarity numbers derived from the simple equations of motion are equal. These numbers are output, pressure, power and efficiency. The accuracy of the calculation of fans performance from the condition of equality of the above numbers is limited. In the paper is presented the method of determination of capacity with regard to the volumetric efficiency in the model and in the machine. The flow efficiency in the recalculation of the pressure growth and the internal efficiency in the power recalculation, both could be determined by e.g. the Ackeret equation. The recalculation of the characteristics has been significantly more precise in that way.
