W artykule podjęto próbę określenia wpływu wykorzystania ciepła przemiany fazowej parafiny w próżniowo-rurowym kolektorze słonecznym na parametry pracy instalacji ciepłej wody użytkowej. Wyznaczono temperaturę wody w zasobniku ciepłej wody oraz udział energii promieniowania słonecznego w jej przygotowaniu w ciągu typowego roku meteorologicznego miasta Częstochowy. Zastosowanie metody akumulacji ciepła z wykorzystaniem parafiny (temperatura onset topnienia 51,24 °C) w kolektorze próżniowo-rurowym umożliwiło wieczorem uwalnianie ciepła zmagazynowanego w parafinie, tj. w czasie gdy natężenie promieniowania słonecznego było niewystarczające do bezpośredniego podgrzania wody.

The article presents the influence of latent heat of paraffin in an evacuated tube solar collector on the operation parameters of domestic hot water installation. The water temperature in the domestic hot water tank and the share of solar energy in the preparation of domestic hot water were determined during a typical meteorological year for the city of Czestochowa. An application of latent heat storage (paraffin with melting point of 51.24 °C) in the evacuated tube solar collector allowed the delayed release of heat in the evening, when the intensity of solar radiation was insufficient. As a result, there was an increase in the obtained water temperature in the domestic hot water tank during the greatest demand for hot water in all characteristic periods of a typical meteorological year. Higher temperature in the domestic hot water tank supplied by the evacuated tube collector with storage resulted in an increase in the annual solar fraction in the domestic hot water system by 20.5% compared with the reference evacuated tube collector without storage.
