The role and trends in environmental analytics and monitoring

Abstrakty
W pracy opisano znaczenie analityki i monitoringu w zakresie badań środowiskowych. Przedstawiono również podstawowe kierunki rozwojowe tego działu analityki chemicznej.
On the basis of vast literature searches it can be concluded that environmental analytics and particularly monitoring are those areas of analytical chemistry which are expending most rapidly. Monitoring is a branch of analytics in which fully automated measuring devices are used. The devices have a very long time of so called autonomous work and provide information about the investigated object in continuos manner in area-time or with only a slight time delay. It constitutes the two pillars on which entire environmental science is based. In the lecture tasks of analytics and environmental monitoring are discussed. Examination of literature data leads to conclusion that there are numbers of trends in area of application of various methods techniques and instrumentation to analytics and environmental monitoring. In general these trends fall into two different categories: (1) trends in the development and practical application of new procedures; (2) novel design of measuring devices and analytical instruments being used in the analytical process. The fundamental procedural and instrumental trends in analytics and environmental monitoring are discussed in a more detailed manner.
