Korzystanie z metodologii trójkątów geotechnicznych zmniejsza niebezpieczeństwo pominięcia w rozwiązywaniu problemów inżynierii geotechnicznej istotnych aspektów, od których zależy powodzenie projektowania i realizacji jej przedsięwzięć. Omówiono koncepcję trójkąta geotechnicznego autorstwa J.B. Burlanda oraz stanowiące jej rozwinięcia: trójkąt projektowania geotechnicznego T. Orra i trójkąt zastosowań inżynierii geotechnicznej A.S O’Briena i J.B. Burlanda.

Applying the methodology of geotechnical triangles in geotechnical engineering problem solving reduces the danger of omitting relevant aspects, which are critical for successful design and implementation of the projects. The geotechnical triangle concept developed by J.B. Burland and its enhancements: geotechnical design triangle by T. Orr and geotechnical engineering applications triangle by A.S. O’Brien and J.B. Burland are discussed.
