Tymczasem, w światowej literaturze pojawiły się pierwsze opracowania, pokazujące możliwości wykorzystywania pojazdów elektrycznych do dostarczania mocy biernej, zgodnie z potrzebami systemu dystrybucyjnego. Artykuł przybliża tą problematykę, przedstawiając przegląd stanu wiedzy technicznej oraz zagranicznej literatury związanej z tą nowatorską problematyką.

Electric vehicles are components of a Smart Grid as, in addition to the transport function, they can provide ancillary energy services like balancing power in power systems. For this purpose, it is possible to use controlled charging systems of such vehicles. Obviously, electric vehicles may also be applied in balancing of the active power. Meanwhile, in the world literature, one comes across the first studies showing the possibility of using electric vehicles to provide reactive power to distribution grid, in accordance to the needs of electric power system. The paper introduces these issues, presents an overview of the state of technical knowledge and international articles related to the subject matter.
