The European Union is widely recognized as a pioneer and active participant of international political activity and efforts aimed at reducing anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases. Currently, the actions taken by the European Union in this respect are both in the nature of international politics and common domestic policy of community. The goals established by the European Union, directed on reducing of greenhouse gas emissions from transport should be considered as particularly restrictive. At the same time, in the current situation, it is difficult to evaluate and judge whether the established goals, programs, tools and proposed measures would be adequate and sufficient.
