Allometric stability indexes of stands growing on former farmland soils. The study consisted in an analysis of stability of trees growing on former farmland and forest soils on the basis of allometric indexes. Twelve mature pine stands growing on former farmland and forest soils were selected for the analyses. Pines coming from stands growing on soils typical of forest phytocenoses are characterized by slightly greater slenderness and their center of gravity is located higher than in pines growing on soils previously utilized by agriculture; however, it may be assumed that in terms of allometry the compared groups are similar.
