In the paper the construction, principle of the work and metrological characteristics of the national standard of length are presented. The results of the international key comparison and long-term stability of the He-Ne iodine stabilized laser – national standard of length are also shown.

W referacie zaprezentowano definicję oraz metody praktycznej realizacji jednostki długości. Ponadto została omówiona budowa oraz zasada działania państwowego wzorca jednostki miary długości. W referacie zaprezentowano wyniki kluczowych porównań międzynarodowych oraz przeanalizowano stabilność długoterminową lasera He-Ne stabilizowanego jodem.
