This paper presents a preliminary study of possibilities of implementation of the fractional order calculus in modern predictive control algorithms. Accordingly, it is presented the use of such algorithms in classic control systems described by input-output models, in particular deterministic perfect control. Moreover, potential fields of application of the fractional order calculus in discrete-time state-space prefect control systems are indicated.
