This paper introduces educational strategy of specialists in community librarianship in the Silesian University, Opava, Czech republic. Based on the analysis of current trends (impact of digitization and globalization on libraries, influence of the ICT phenomena on society and the existence of the virtual communities phenomena) future development trends are identified (multimedia type of information, increase of interest in a local cultural heritage, emergence of personal informational spaces). Consequently, key competences of community librarian are derived from these trends, document processing (traditional/new), communication skills (traditional, virtual with a support of ICT) and managerial (library management and public relations). Expected scenarios of development in the area of community librarianship and appropriate response from educational sector are discussed. Finally, a strategy of further development of education of community librarians is outlined.

Praca przedstawia strategię edukacyjną specjalistów w zakresie bibliotekarstwa społecznego na Uniwersytecie Śląskim w Opawie w Czechach. Na podstawie analizy obecnych trendów (wpływ digitalizacji i globalizacji bibliotek, wpływ teleinformatyki na społeczeństwo oraz występowanie zjawiska społeczności wirtualnych), zidentyfikowano tendencje rozwojowe na przyszłość (informacje multimedialne, wzrost zainteresowania lokalnym dziedzictwem kulturowym, pojawienie się przestrzeni informacji osobowych). Następnie z tendencji tych wyprowadzone zostały główne kompetencje bibliotekarza społecznego, przetwarzanie dokumentów (tradycyjne/nowe), umiejętności komunikacyjne (tradycyjne, wirtualne, ze wsparciem technologii teleinformatycznych) oraz zarządcze (zarządzanie biblioteką oraz public relations). Praca omawia spodziewane scenariusze rozwoju w dziedzinie bibliotekarstwa społecznego, jak również różne formy reakcji ze strony sektora edukacji. Praca przedstawia również zarys strategii dalszego rozwoju kształcenia bibliotekarzy społecznych.
