Modern warning and reporting systems, designated to recognize, generate, process and initially analyse information about CBRN contamination are complicated, both organizationally and technically. Bearing this in mind it is of the utmost importance to emphasise the capabilities of the specialist equipment. In the article, the authors try to present a contemporary knowledge of the modern military methods of detecting, monitoring, identifying contamination as well as the direction of current developments.
