W pracy przedstawiono współczesne zastosowania narzędzi teorii systemów „szarych” w logistyce i transporcie. Przedstawiony przegląd świadczy o zróżnicowaniu i potencjale aplikacyjnym narzędzi.

A survey of contemporary application of grey system tools in logistics and transportation is presented in a paper. The survey confirms diversity of applications and applicational potential of the tools. They enable us to model complex problems, forecast, evaluate applied solutions, support decision making and control the systems, while including influence of imperfect nature of available information. Grey systems are applied in transportation for solving the transportation problem, forecasting, estimation of unfavourable influence on natural environment, modelling hazards and risks, as well as, planning of transportation systems and evaluating their effectiveness and quality. Logistical applications of grey systems are mainly devoted to the choice of suppliers and other business partners, the estimation of the demand for logistic services, the evaluation logistic systems and their components, and solving operational research optimization tasks. Grey systems are also applied for the forecasting and some other specific activities e.g. preparing the emergency logistics systems. Note, that experience in grey systems tools comes mainly from more developed countries. The grey system tools are only rarely applied for solving logistics and transportation problems in Poland. Their merits make their application worth considering while making decisions in home logistics and transportation.
