Abstrakty

Podczas operacji „Pustynna burza" wojska koalicji użyły na niespotykaną skalę sił powietrznych. Wykorzystano najnowocześniejsze zdobycze techniki i teleinformatyki. Wobec takiej przewagi iracka obrona przeciwlotnicza była bezsilna. Ponadto już na samym początku dowództwo wojsk irackich popełniło wiele błędów, których wynikiem był brak skuteczności w walce. Przebieg operacji powietrznej w Iraku pokazał, w jakim kierunku powinien zmierzać współczesny system obrony przeciwlotniczej.

During Operation Desert Storm, coalition forces used their air forces on a supreme scale. The most modern achievements of technology and communications were used, and against such supremacy the Iraqi anti-aircraft defense was helpless. Moreover, at the very beginning, the Iraqi command made multiple mistakes, the result of which was the lack of efficiency in their warfare. The course of air operation in Iraq showed which direction the contemporary anti-aircraft defense system should follow.
