The effect of some factors on the red heart formation in beech trees

The study analyze the influence of some factors as: tree age, size of dehydrated zone, tree crown size and wood species composition of sampled heterogeneous beech forests. The parameters frequency and red heart width was studied at different height levels in the tree trunk. The sampled parameters declined by increasing height in tree. In contrast, the tree age had reverse and significant effect. The width of the central dehydrated zone had also a significant effect on sampled parameters. On the contrary, effect of other factors was not as clear.
