For riverside cities, their waterfront public space becomes one of the main public domains. This cultural heritage constitutes the city's identity. Based on the richness of its heritage, are cities developing an adequate functional offer aimed at the modern user? The article presents the results of a study of the functional quality of the public space of the Vistula River Boulevards in Kraków. The level of functional complexity of the Boulevards was determined by defining the types of its fragments in spatial-functional and historical terms, and then subjecting them to the author's multi-criteria valorization. The results of the valorization of the functional resources of the riverside public space made it possible to formulate conclusions for determining the potentials and threats of the studied riverside public space.
