Susceptibility of microstructure of limestone on creation of CO2 fast transport routs in core of calcined limestone lump and in created lime layer in given conditions of calcination determine time of thermal decomposition of limestone and reactivity of produced lime. Based on investigation results of three various limestones, used in industrial production of lime, an assessment of their microstructural impact on thermal decomposition rate of limestone lump has been determined. Among the other properties type of microstructure - micritic or sparitic, content of big calcite grains, size of slit pores, content of closed pores having fluid-gazeous inclusions, porosity and mineralogical composition of limestone were taken into account during analysis the possibilities of formation of fast transport ways of CO2.
