This paper presents study of carbon dioxide capture using physicochemical sorbents. The idea of physicochemical sorbent is to combine properties of the porous material and liquid absorbent. Sorption capacity of solid sorbents is relatively low, but the impregnation can contribute sorption properties significantly. The commercial zeolites and those obtained by synthesis from fly ash were used to test. The base material was subjected to a wet impregnation method. The obtained sorbents were tested using a thermobalance TGA / SDTA 85le. Specially selected temperature program helped to determine the sorption capacity of sorbents derived physicochemical sorbents. Tests were conducted using pure C02. In addition, regeneration study tests were carried out. Studies have shown a significant improvement of physical and chemical sorption capacity of sorbents.
