The paper presents approximate methods of calculating the flow structure of steam through an axial turbine stage with a load different from the calculated one . In the analysis of this problem an axisymmetrical flow model was applied, thus making it possible to determine the kinematic and thennodynamic parameters both in the area without blades and in the blade channels. Special attention has been devoted to the determination of the losses of mechanical energy in the blade-rings of the stage. The results of calculations concerning the flow of the steam through the last stage of a condensing turbine with a load different from the nominal one.
