W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań empirycznych dotyczących identyfikacji struktur klastrowych w regionie łódzkim. Obejmuje on realizację drugiego etapu badań, które ogólnie scharakteryzowano w artykule pt. „Klastry potencjalne w gospodarce regionu łódzkiego oraz pożądane kierunki wsparcia” („Logistyka” nr 6/2014). Niniejszy artykuł stanowi kontynuację tych badań. Autor rozróżnił – dla potrzeb badawczych – pojęcia: klastry potencjalne oraz klastry istniejące, interpretując te drugie, jako struktury faktycznie istniejące. Dokonana identyfikacja klastrów i inicjatyw klastrowych istniejących daje obraz bardzo znacznie różniący się od tego, który wykazał zasadność utworzenia klastrów potencjalnych – w oparciu o analizę koncentracji branżowej (pierwszy etap badań). Wyniki pozwalają na stwierdzenie, że większość istniejących w regionie struktur klastrowych znajduje się jeszcze na niskim stopniu rozwoju.

The article presents the results of empirical research which has concerned the identification of cluster structures in the region of Lodz. It encompasses the second phase of research which was characterized in general in the article entitled “Potential clusters in the region of Lodz economy and desired directions of their support” („Logistyka” No 6/2014). The author distinguished - for purposes of the research – the concepts of potential clusters and existing clusters and interpreted the latter as the structures which actually function. That identification of clusters and existing cluster initiatives gives a picture which differs a lot from the one which has shown the feasibility of establishing potential clusters – by analysis of industry concentration (the first stage of studies). The results lead to the conclusion that most of the existing cluster structures in the region are still at a low stage of development.
