The article presents the problem of inspection in higher military education in the time of structural transformations. The author includes certain terms and notions concerning inspection and evaluation in order to present in the further part of the article the purpose, aim, forms and methods of inspection. He draws attention to the essence and purpose of self-inspection carried out by students. He also discusses the role and significance of pedagogical texts used in the inspection process.
