Abstrakty
A process of the modernization (revamping) of the eight-stage ammonia compressor (process compressor) has been described. A scope of changes in operating parameters, technical assumptions of the modernization and the calculation methodology employed have been presented. Only thermodynamic and flow problems have been discussed in the paper, neglecting the issues related to materials, strength and dynamics. An evaluation of efficiency of the performed modernization (compared to a variant of the extended revamping) has been carried out.
