Abstrakty
For many companies, the process of new product development is a key activity determining a competitive advantage. Rapid technological changes, demand uncertainty, customization of products and focusing on core competencies means today a need for early involvement of suppliers in product development projects to reduce costs, shorten time to market of new solutions and improve product quality. Such cooperation requires taking many decisions and is connected with different problems that early identification can reduce the project risk and influence the success of a new product positively. This paper presents the NPD issue, benefits, problems and points the need and directions of NPD future researches.
