Badając piśmiennictwo geodezyjne w Polsce, powstałe równolegle z początkiem odrodzenia Rzeczypospolitej oraz utworzenia organizacji geodezyjnych, autor przedstawił i scharakteryzował powstałe w okresie międzywojennym (1918-1939) pierwsze pisma: „Przegląd Mierniczy”, Biuletyn Towarzystwa Oświaty Rolniczej „Pomiary i klasyfikacja gruntów – kataster gruntowy”, „Biuletyn Koła Inżynierów Mierniczych” oraz „Geodeta”. Analizując okres po II wojnie światowej, w artykule omówiono powstanie pisma o najdłuższej tradycji wydawania, tj. Przegląd Geodezyjny. Pismo powstało w 1945 r. Później powstały pisma „Geodezja i Kartografia” (kwartalnik PAN), na krótko „Pocztylion” oraz w ostatnich latach (1995) – Magazyn Geoinformacyjny „Geodeta”.

In the article is presented a history of geodetic literature. The author investigates a geodetic literature that appeared together with the restoration of Polish country and establishment of geodetic organizations. He presents and characterizes the magazines first published in the period between the two World Wars (1918-1939): „Surveying review”, bulletin of the Association of Agricultural Education „Surveying and Soil Classification – Land Cadastre”, „Bulletin of the Surveying Engineers Activity Group”, as well as „Geodesist”. Concerning the period after the World War II in the article there is discussed the origin of the magazine with the longest publication tradition – the „Geodetic Review”. The magazine came into existence in 1945. Later on emerged also other magazines: „Geodesy and Cartography” (quarterly of the Polish Academy of Sciences), „Pocztylion (Moniterra)” (published only for a short period) and recently (in 1995) – The Geoinformational Magazine „Geodesist”.
