Presenting the problem of sustainability of the social and economic development one should always answer the fundamental question of what the environment we are trying to preserve for the present and the future generations is to look like? If we assume the sustainable development, we should apply the so-called adaptation approach for the purpose of identifying the correlation "man to environment" and observe the principle of farsightedness. The concept of sustainable development as presented herein is anthropocentric, which entails that sustainable development should first and foremost ensure a constant improvement of living conditions while accounting for the need to preserve the nature.
