Uczestnictwo Polski w strukturach UE spowodowało napływ środków finansowych o charakterze pomocowym, celem których jest zwiększenie konkurencyjności polskiej gospodarki oraz dla zapewnienie jej zrównoważonego rozwoju. Zdecydowana większość działających w Polsce branż przemysłowych oraz przedsiębiorstw jest, teoretycznie biorąc, uprawniona do otrzymania tego typu wsparcia finansowego. Aby jednak wystąpić skutecznie o te środki, niezbędna jest zmiana w filozofii działania każdego przedsiębiorstwa. Środki, jakie UE przekazuje w ramach funduszy strukturalnych, są przeznaczone, w przypadku sektorów przemysłowych, głównie na projektowanie, wdrażanie i rozwój przedsięwzięć inwestycyjnych o charakterze innowacyjnym. Wzmocnienie potencjału polskiego przemysłu zarówno w sensie produkcyjnym, jak i intelektualnym ma szczególne znaczenie w dobie globalizacji i międzynarodowej konkurencji. Niniejszy artykuł pokazuje, jak przeciętne polskie przedsiębiorstwo przemysłowe powinno się ubiegać o przyznanie tych środków, jakie warunki i kryteria musi spełnić aby te środki otrzymać a następnie prawidłowo rozliczyć. Podstawą jest tutaj kreacja odpowiedniej strategii działania, która wyznaczy poszczególne obszary inwestycyjne przedsiębiorstwa i sklasyfikuje je pod względem przyszłych efektów finansowych. Tylko wtedy ma sens ubieganie się o dotację, kiedy istnieje jasno sprecyzowany cel i znane są korzyści jakie przyniesie nam jego realizacja. Wówczas środki unijne będą dla polskiego przedsiębiorcy najbardziej atrakcyjnym źródłem pozyskania kapitału zewnętrznego.

Poland's partipation in the EU structures have caused an influx of the financial means of the helping character, the aim of hich is the increasing of the competition ability of the polish economy and ensuring its balanced development. A wast majority of industry branches being activ in Poland as well as of enterprises is theoretically authorized to get the financial support of this kind. But, to effectively apply for these EU means there exists need for changing the philosophy of operation of each enterprise. The means transferring by EU in the scope of the structural fonds are deigned, in the case of the industry enterprises, principally for projecting, implementation and development of innovative investments. Strengthening the potential of the polish industry regarding as well the production as also the intellectual problems has a special importance in the days of globalization and international competition. This article shows how an average industry enterprise shall apply for allocation of these means, what conditions and criterions shall it fulfill for getting these means and then to clear them. The base is here creation of an corresponding activity strategy, which will determine particular investment fields of the enterprise and classify them regarding the future financial effects. There only exists a sens of applying for the allocation when one has a clearly precized aim and the profits from its realization are well known. In these conditons the most attractive source of procuring the external capital by the polish entrepreneur will be the EU means.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate consumer awareness of the medicinal properties of hemp and its applications in various industries. Before commencing the survey, the following research hypothesis was made: the survey respondents would lack basic knowledge about hemp. The study group of survey respondents consisted of 50 randomly selected people from the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. The research tool was an original survey questionnaire containing 11 questions and a section for sociodemographic data. The survey study was conducted from October to December 2018. As a result of the study, the research hypothesis was positively verified. It was found that most members of the study group were unfamiliar with the term hemp, but still associated it positively. This was related to the erroneous attribution of its properties to Cannabis indica. More than half of the study group were unable to state whether the plant in question was used in medicine. The level of knowledge among the study group concerning the applications of hemp in various industries was low.

The Compound Term Composition Algebra (CTCA) is an algebra with four algebraic operators, which can be used to generate the valid (meaningful) compound terms of a given faceted taxonomy, in an efficient and flexible manner. The positive operations allow the derivation of valid compound terms through the declaration of a small set of valid compound terms. The negative operations allow the derivation of valid compound terms through the declaration of a small set of invalid compound terms. In this paper, we show how CTCA can be represented in logic programming with negation-as-failure, according to both Clark's and well-founded semantics. Indeed, the SLDNF-resolution can be used for checking compound term validity and well-formedness of an algebraic expression in polynomial time w.r.t. the size of the expression and the number of terms in the taxonomy. This result makes our logic programming representation a competitive alternative to imperative algorithms. Embedding of our logic programming representation to the programming environment of a web portal for a computer sales company is demonstrated.

Rehabilitation of patients with a diagnosed cancer poses a major challenge for physiotherapists (PT) due to the limited number of methods which may be used on every stage of cancer treatment (including convalescence). Kinesiology Taping (KT) is one of the few available options that enable pain and oedema reduction. Limited number of studies with significantly varied study methods makes it difficult to draw clear conclusions on the legitimacy of KT use. Aim of the review was to analyse available studies on the KT use in pain management and associated discomfort reported by cancer patients. Six papers met the criteria for the review and were included in the detailed pooled analysis (2 clinical studies and 4 case studies). Analysis emphasized papers describing analgesic effect of KT. On the basis of available studies, it proved to be beneficial for oncology patients (breast cancer, lung cancer, multiple myeloma). Additionally, studies reported an increased ability to carry out daily activities, decreased ‘psychological suffering’ and lower fatigue which directly resulted in the improvement of the quality of life (QoL) – a main goal of palliative care. The number of studies that evaluate the effectiveness of KT in pain reduction in oncology patients is scarce. Since KT has minor adverse effects it is recommended to be used as an adjunct analgesic therapy. Review supports the effectiveness of KT for pain management in oncologic patients. In order to confirm the efficacy of KT use in cancer patients, a greater number of randomized clinical trials, covering larger study groups, is required with special emphasis on malignant neoplasms.

To solve the problem of offshore oilfield development, based on the newly introduced pulsed neutron oxygen activation logging instrument, the application research of test design and interpretation method was carried out and applied to actual production. The structure, technical indicators and logging principles of pulsed neutron oxygen activation logging tools were introduced. The test design under different well conditions was studied, including general positive and negative injection, oil sleeve injection, single oil pipe configuration and multitubing configuration. A large amount of field test data was collected and analysed technically. A set of effective interpretation models was proposed. The corresponding interpretation software was developed. A set of test design methods and operating specifications for different well conditions were developed. Based on the conventional interpretation method, the peak selection, the double-tuber peak identification and the carbon dioxide flooding interpretation method were added. The results show that the test design and interpretation methods were applied well through a large number of field tests and production applications. Therefore, pulsed neutron oxygen activated injection profile logging technology is successfully applied in offshore oil fields.

The opinion concerns the motion to convene a sitting of a Committee of Inquiry to Investigate the Correctness and Legality of Actions of Public Authorities and Institutions with regard to Entities Forming the Amber Gold Group. The scope of the Committee’s activity would include a clarification of circumstances of resignation from membership of the Committee by a member who has not been granted by the National Security Agency (ABW) a  security permit, being a  necessary condition of access to classified information. The author shows that the subject of the motion exceeds the scope of Committee’s competencies. Moreover, one should not exclude that possible irregularities in actions of the ABW occurred in an extent which is insufficient to initiate parliamentary oversight procedures, i.e. to convening a sitting of the Committee of Inquiry. Besides the motion should not been accepted due to the fact that is does not meet the requirements provided by Article. 152. paragraph 2 of the Standing Orders.

W artykule przedstawiono problematykę dotyczącą prac badawczych prowadzonych w zakresie opracowania czujników z wykorzystaniem technologii mikrosystemowych przeznaczonych do wykrywania materiałów wybuchowych w minach i improwizowanych ładunkach wybuchowych (IED). Omówiono także zagadnienie związane z zastosowaniem chemicznych warstw reaktywnych pozwalających na uzyskanie wysokiej selektywności wykrycia cząstek materiałów wybuchowych, jak i przybliżono możliwość wykorzystania algorytmów sztucznych sieci neuronowych do klasyfikacji sygnałów pochodzących od czujników mikrodźwigniowych. Połączenie wszystkich omówionych technologii pozwala na opracowanie elektronicznego nosa, czyli urządzenia inteligentnego przeznaczonego do wykrywania materiałów wybuchowych w powietrzu.

: In the paper discussed problems concerning the research on the development of sensors based on microsystems technologies for the detection of explosives materials used in mines and improvised explosive devices (IED). In the article presented the issue of the use of chemical reactive layers which allows to achieve high selectivity of detection explosive materials molecules and brought closer the possibility of using artificial neural network algorithms to classify signals from micro-cantilever based sensors. Combining all the described technologies allows to develop an electronic nose, a smart device designed to detect explosive materials molecules in the air.

Applying solid paint is a procedure used in practice to cover an aircraft skin with a coat of chromatic lacquer which possesses anti-corrosion properties. Additionally, this coat improves aerodynamic characteristics of a/c skin. Solid paint is applied as a preventive maintenance of the material the skin is made of to protect it against atmospheric exposure factors and it is conducted before an a/c is certified airworthy or when a given assembly requires separate maintenance or repair , and even in case of faults removal of skin coating fragment during scheduled maintenance. Painting process is conducted in a specially designated room which needs to meet a number of requirements and occupational safety regulations. The most important factor which the painting shop must meet is an appropriate room temperature, air-conditioning system and fire extinguishing equipment. The process of applying solid paint is timeconsuming and requires precision. The author presents chosen methods of applying solid paint on aircraft construction elements as well as painting process preparatory maintenance. The article presents specificity of the preparatory process starting with appropriately prepared room, protective clothing and equipment suitable for solid paint application and ending with appropriate humidity parameters. The contents of the article depicts conditions which have to be met so that the process is accomplished in a safe manner and according to technological procedures. Subsequent stages of the paint application process show complex technology and influence of many factors which guarantee correct and safe task execution. Correct and technologically appropriate removal of the old lacquer layer, aircraft washing and finally outer layers application guarantee high quality, durability and safety of air crews and passengers.

The purpose of that article was to show the significance of water as the source of plant pathogens, and need of it effective disinfection methods in modern agriculture and horticulture. The increase in the cost of agricultural water use for crop irrigation and the necessity of using the same water several times, as well as the changing climatic conditions, including prolonged shortage of atmospheric precipitation and often extreme temperatures during the summer, necessitate the selection of an effective, easy to apply and economical method of disinfecting recirculated water to eliminate or minimize the occurrence of the most serious plant pathogens inhabiting various water sources. Among them, microorganisms of the genera Phytophthora, Pythium and Fusarium, and the species Rhizoctonia solani, Verticillium dahliae and some pathogenic bacteria pose the most serious threat. Some of them can be found in rivers, streams, ponds and water reservoirs, others are soil-borne pathogens that cause root and stem base rot of many plant species. The available literature describes at least a dozen methods of water disinfection, among them slow filtration through sand or lava filters, chlorination and heating. The literature data indicates that the use of sand filters is the most effective, safe and cheapest method of water disinfection.

Improved Human Resources Performance can be realized in the employee’s absence. The sophistication of technology to accommodate the absence is the use of a Mobile-Based Attendance Application. Attendance can be used to measure employee performance. One of the measuring tools in measuring performance is the Key Performance Indicator (KPI). KPI values can be obtained from the Mobile-based Attendance Application, as currently implemented by an IT Company. But in its development, there is a shortage on the application features of Daily Attendance, Leave, Report Recaps Attendance and Report Recaps Leave. The value engineering method with the Analytical Hierarchy Process is used in this paper to obtain prioritized alternatives in the development of application feature updates. The results of the research show that the alternative with the largest percentage is owned by Alternative IV (45.6%). These results indicate that this alternative can be used as a recommendation for renewal of attendance application features on IT Company. Alternative IV shows optimal results such as the realization of application feature requirements for users, consumption of fewer workdays for 1-2 days, low costs, easy-to-understand feature design, and uncomplicated programming techniques.
