By way of this article the author seeks to construe epistemological semantics. To this end the author presents his arguments in several aspects as regards a) concepts, b) terms, c) subject matter, d) methods and e) analysis of expressions excerpted from texts. The author’s concept is based on hypotheses employed in anthropocentric linguistics and frame semantics. One of the building blocks of epistemological semantics is constituted by so called epistemic formants of knowledge, understood as the foundation of epistemic experience, as the base for the frames of epistemic knowledge, and hence also as the framework for the constitution of meanings and expressions formed by an individual. As important seem a strict delimitation of the subject area of epistemological semantics and the defining of resultant tasks to be undertaken by linguists. It transpires that both the subject area and the resultant tasks have up till now been restricted almost exclusively to ‘meaning’, without clear reference to the underlying cognitive acts. Methods of the work are rooted in idiocentric (individual) and polycentric (common) approaches known in linguistics. The results of the empirical analysis have been presented and exemplified by a selected specialised neologism from the field of music of Ancient Greece.

When embarking on a journey towards the constitution of epistemological semanticsone needs to describe clearly the key term ’epistemic’ and differentiate between this term and the term ’cognitive’, which has been used so far, but has in time become ambiguous. The author of this article does not present the history of using these terms. Instead he undertakes to clarify the term ’epistemic’ in order to enable himself to operate on problems linked with making epistemological semantics legitimate, including the problem of using specialized neologisms.

Epistemic properties of a man constitute the base for change. So far little attention has been paid to those properties in semantics. Questions of epistemic factors, which influence the formation of specialised neologisms, have not been posed. The keynote of this article is the attempt to answer this question. To achieve this goal, I attempt to explain such expressions as ‚neo’, ‚epistemic’ and ‚specialised neologism’. Then I proceed with the presentation of the results of the analysis of an interview. The subject of the interview is the Polish neologism ‚auleta’, created by Maciej Kaziński during his work an the translation of John Landes’ Music in Ancient Greece and Rome.

Transformacja systemu gospodarczego rozpoczęła się na Słowacji dosyć późno - po zakończeniu okresu ekonomicznej i politycznej stagnacji w latach 1993¬-1998. Najważniejsze reformy w zakresie strategicznej restrukturyzacji gospodarki sło¬wackiej oraz budowy instytucji właściwych dla gospodarki rynkowej zostały przepro¬wadzone przez rząd Mikulasa Dzurindy i Ivana Miklosa. Dzięki pozytywnemu kształtowaniu się podstawowych wskaźników makroekono¬micznych w drugiej kadencji wspomnianego rządu, a także wypełnieniu warunków konwergencji nominalnej, Słowacja mogła 1. stycznia 2009 r. wprowadzić euro. Z uwagi na światowy kryzys finansowy oraz wycofanie się tego kraju z części re¬form, wskaźniki makroekonomiczne opisywanego kraju pogorszyły się.

The transition to developed market economy began in Slovakia rather late. The most important reforms aiming to strategic restructuring in Slovak economy and functioning economic institutions of capitalism were performed by the government of Mikulas Dzurinda and Ivan Miklos. Thanks to the favourable macroeconomic indicators in the second term of the above mentioned government and fulfilment of conditions of nominal convergence, in 2009 Slovak national currency could be replaced by euro. Because of economic crisis and withdrawing a part of the reforms by the next so¬cialist government the macroeconomic indicators of the country haven’t been so good as it was in the ERM2.

The aim of the article is to present the condition of the main elements of public finances: public finance deficit (budget deficit), public debt (state treasury debt) and public expenditure (budget expenditure) in Poland in 2011-2017 and on the basis of the described theoretical dependencies to determine their impact on the level of inflation during the period considered. The following methods were used in the research: analysis and logical construction and statistical methods. It was found that the state of public finances did not cause inflationary pressure in the analysed period. Inflation remained at a low level, with a tendency to transform into small deflation in some years. However, the abrupt increase in public spending in 2017 could be, according to the theory of economics, responsible (or partly responsible) for the increase in inflation in 2017. Maintaining a high rate of public expenditure growth may stimulate inflation in subsequent periods.

Porty lotnicze stanowią kluczowe, punktowe ogniwo infrastruktury transportu lotniczego, która jest częścią całego systemu transportu. Ich potencjał determinuje sieć powiązań lotniczych i wpływa na długofalową, strategiczną pozycję na rynku usług lotniczych. Analiza strategiczna stanowi kluczowy element w procesie zarządzania strategicznego portem lotniczym. Najbardziej prawdopodobny scenariusz stanu makrootoczenia Portu Lotniczego Gdańsk wykazuje się relatywnie wysoką przewidywalnością i generalnie pozytywnym oddziaływaniem na potencjalne możliwości rozwoju tego portu w najbliższych latach. Jedynie sfera demograficzna oraz w pewnym stopniu międzynarodowa, mogą stanowić bariery w osiąganiu strategicznych celów rozwoju tego portu. Port Lotniczy Gdańsk zajmuje trwale trzecią pozycję na polskim rynku. Analiza luki strategicznej pozwala na stwierdzenie, że w stosunku do głównych konkurentów Port Lotniczy Gdańsk wykazuje lukę zgodności trendów a w stosunku do mniejszych portów regionalnych lukę nadmiaru. Usługi GDN znajdują się w kwadracie „Gwiazda” według pozycji w macierzy BCG. Omawiane lotnisko ma skrupulatnie przygotowany program inwestycyjny do 2035 roku. Dynamika prognozowanego wzrostu liczby pasażerów i dynamika prognozowanej liczby operacji lotniczych w Gdańsku jest ogólnie nieco większa niż dynamika prognoz ogólnopolskich. Strategicznym wyzwaniem na dalsze lata będzie umacnianie statusu GDN jako polskiej bramy lotniczej do Skandynawii.

Airports are a key link of the air transport infrastructure, which is a part of the whole transportation system. Their potential is determined by a network of airlines relations and affects the long-term, strategic position in the market of aviation services. The most possible scenario of the macro-environment of the Gdansk Airport has a relatively high predictability and generally positive influencing on the potential for development in the next years. Only international and demographic areas can constitute a barrier to achieving the strategic objectives. Gdansk Airport takes permanently the third position on the Polish market. Strategic gap analysis leads to the conclusion that, compared to its main competitors Airport Gdansk has a gap of compliance trends, but in relation to smaller regional airports excess gap. GDN services are located in the square “Star” in the BCG matrix. This airport has prepared an investment program till 2035. The dynamics of the projected increase in the number of passengers and air operations in Gdansk is generally slightly higher than the growth nationwide forecasts. The strategic challenge for next years will be to strengthen the status of the GDN as a Polish aviation gateway to Scandinavia.
