Od momentu przystąpienia do Unii Europejskiej Polska może korzystać ze wsparcia finansowego pochodzącego ze środków dwóch rodzajów funduszy: Funduszy Strukturalnych oraz Funduszu Spójności. Fundusz Spójności przeznacza środki w zakresie ochrony środowiska oraz transportu. Aby wykorzystać te środki dla rekultywacji zdegradowanych kamieniołomów, konieczne jest uznanie ich za składowiska odpadów.

Since the accession to EU Poland can use the subsidies from two kinds of sources: Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund. Cohesion Fund allocates the money for investments concerning protection of environment and transport. To be able to use the funds in recultivation of downgraded quarries, it is necessary to acknowledge them as landfill sites.

W artykule omówiono możliwości wykorzystania mikroskopii bliskiego pola w diagnostyce elementów dyskretnych układów scalonych. Wysoka zdolność rozdzielcza tej techniki pomiarowej, w połączeniu z możliwością uzyskania szerokiego spektrum informacji na temat badanego obiektu, czyni ją doskonałym narzędziem w weryfikacji niezawodności nowo projektowanych układów scalonych. Zaprezentowane wyniki demonstrują efektywność mikroskopii bliskiego pola w ocenie funkcjonowania poszczególnych elementów.

In this article the possibility of utilization of near field microscopy in diagnostic of discrete components in integrated circuits was discused. Due to high spatial resolution and wide spectra of delivere information about tested object, this technique is a powerful tool verification of the reliability of newly developed integrated circuits. Presented results will show effectiveness of the near field microscopy in evaluation of operation of certain components.

The history-making day of May 1st, 2004 inaugurated Poland.s participation in EU. As a member of .great Europe. Możliwość zarządzania zużyciem energii jest ważnym elementem nowoczesnych sieci i systemów teleinformatycznych. Wymaganie energooszczędności jest szczególnie istotne w przypadku wydajnych sieci szkieletowych i systemów przetwarzających dane w sposób rozproszony np. klastrów. W artykule zostanie zaprezentowany projekt dwuwarstwowego systemu sterowania energooszczędną siecią teleinformatyczną. Użyteczność proponowanego systemu została poddana weryfikacji na drodze obliczeń numerycznych.

The energy awareness is an important aspect of modern networks and computing systems design and management, especially in the case of internet-scale networks and data intensive large scale distributed computing systems. In this paper, we have designed and developed a twolevel control framework for reducing power consumption in computer networks. Utility of our framework have been verified by numerical experiments.

Crisis phenomena occur in the majority of settlement units regardless of location, size, social structure and other significant factors influencing the quality of life and correctness of urban processes. This paper is an attempt to present relations of social problems and urban layout and genesis of the spatial structure of the selected small town. Unit selected for analyses - Poniatowa town, characterizes with specific layout and time of founding - this is a town founded “in cruda radice” during the construction of structures of the Central Industrial Region (Polish: Centralny Okręg Przemysłowy, abbreviated COP) built on the basis of residential development for nearby industrial plants associated with military production.

W niniejszej pracy zaprezentowano wyniki porównania zmian parametrów morfologicznych powierzchni wybranych transparentnych tworzyw sztucznych stosowanych powszechnie m.in. w przemyśle elektrotechnicznym, jako obudowy urządzeń pomiarowo-sterujących. Badania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem mikroskopii sił atomowych (ang. atomic force microscopy AFM), która umożliwia ilościowe odwzorowanie topografii powierzchni z nanometrową rozdzielczością. Analizę procesu zmian chropowatości próbek, następujących wskutek działania promieniowania świetlnego, odniesiono do wyników pomiarów kolorymetrycznych. Degradację powierzchni obserwowano w funkcji czasu, poddając je działaniu symulowanego promieniowania słonecznego oraz promieniowania UV. Uzyskane wyniki umożliwiły stwierdzenie zróżnicowanej dynamiki procesów degradacyjnych tworzyw zamiennie stosowanych w wielu aplikacjach, co pozwoliło na wskazanie materiału o większej odporności na działanie czynników zewnętrznych.

In this work the results of the comparison of the morhological changes of selected transparent plastics commonly utilized in the electrotechnical applications for the housings of the control-measurement devices is presented. The investigation was performed using atomic force microscopy (AFM), providing quantitaive reconstruction of the surface with nanometer resolution. The analysis of the roughness changes of the samples, caused by the light radiation was compared with the colorimetry outcome. The degradation of the surface was observed in the taim domain, while the the samples were exposed to the radiation of the simulated solar light as well as the UV light. Obtained results allowed to observe the variety in the deterioration procesess of investigated plastics, which are euqually applied in various products, therefore it was possible to find the material revealing the best resistance to the environmental conditions.

The authoress reconstructs the history of letter-writing as a language form against the background of broader cultural changes. The letter-writing of the 17th and 18th centuries as well as salon culture and burgher sentimentality are subject to particular analysis. The purpose of that analysis is to recreate the conditions needed for the existence of the autobiography category - i.e. the recognition by a person of their own 'I' as unique and gifted with the ability to view life from the perspective of development and recognising sincerity as an important cultural value.

Fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) are widely used as temperature and strain measurement systems and in telecommunications systems. In order to simplify detecting the wavelength change (which is the output signal from FBB), fiber Bragg grating based optical wavelength discriminators can be used. In this paper, discriminators with apodized, chirped FBG cooperating with the identical grating of a sensor are considered. The analysis includes: the processing range (assuming the nonlinearity characteristic is less than 1%), the processing equation and the range of strain measurement. On the basis of simulation tests, there is discussed the influence of the following parameters: chirp value (Subsection 3.1), length (Subsection 3.2) and constant refractive index change averaged over the grating period (Subsection 3.3) of selected FBGs on the discriminator characteristic.
