The devices certification methods in accordance with the European Union law as well as with national law are illustrated. Because certification of ERTMS on the railway vehicle will be conducted for the first time in Poland, the way of performance with a set of documents required for admission the system to operate on the railway network in Poland was proposed.

Omówiono istotne problemy występujące w procesie certyfikacji: zapewnienie obiektywizmu i kompetencji jednostki certyfikującej, dobór kryteriów technicznych oceny wyrobu, jednoznaczność identyfikacji wyrobu, stabilność produkcji lub importu.

Operating of the certification body for electronic products should contains valuation of the product and producer. Accredited activity and certification process in the Centre for Certification of Products of the Industrial Institute of Electronics are presented. Automatic Differentiation (AD) is concerned with the semantics augmentation of an input program representing a function to form a transformed program that computes the function’s derivatives. To ensure the correctness of the AD transformed code (particularly for safety-critical applications), we aim at certifying the algebraic manipulations at the heart of the AD process. We have considered a WHILE-language, and have shown how such proofs can be constructed by using appropriate relational Hoare logic. In particular, we have shown how such inference rules can be constructed for both the forward- and reverse-mode AD by using an abductive logical reasoning.

This paper aims to explore the challenges of the Ukrainian system of translators training caused by modern technology advancement. The paper applies established ideas in practical approaches to the improvement of translators training system with respect to new technological requirements for the professionals. The relevant data were obtained by the analysis of questionnaire results. The problems of education of translators in Ukraine under the conditions of dramatic social and political changes are considered. The lack of training in the sphere of technology application for professional development is pointed out on the basis of the research results analysis. The research has also shown the contradictions between the needed level of technological skills of the students of the translation department and modern professional standards. The changes of certification standards for translators in terms of information literacy skills, ethics, and management as related to technological advancement are shown. The paper discusses the results of the original survey involving high school graduates, students, and faculty staff. The recommendations proposed are based on the critical study of the peculiarities of the system of translators training in Ukraine.

The paper presents a timetable of actions concerning making a project and implementing the quality system. On the bases of analysis of some enterprises' timetables the plan of activities for macro and micro enterprise was prepared. In the process of implementation the quality system three key stages were characterised: 1. Entrance operations -managers make a decision about starting the project that is called the quality management system, next they define the quality policy and appoint the person who is responsible for the project. 2.Key operations - preparing a project and implementing the quality system. 3. Control final operations - inside audit of the quality system and managers' review. 4. Exit operations - certification of the quality system. The paper can be helpful for the enterprises that want to start the process of quality management.

We investigate the effect on firm performance of the motivation for applying maturity models in manufacturing and information technology organizations. We expect the association between profitability and maturity models to be less if motivated by external contract requirements (e.g., for certain government contracts), than if motivated internally to improve pro- cesses. Using a sample of firm-year observations for 1,105 SEC registrants in the manufacturing (Standard Industry Classification (SIC): 3600∼3812) and IT industries (SIC: 7370∼7374) for 2017 and 2018, and CMMI information from the CMMI institute published appraisal results system, it is observed that 28 public firms (17 IT firm-years and 23 manufacturing firm-years) in the sample had CMMI appraisals between 2017 and 2018. We use logistic regression to test if the likelihood of CMMI appraisal is positively associated with government sales. The results support for the manufacturing industry, but not for the IT industry, prior research’s assertion that maturity is a source for competitive advantage.

There is in the paper the analyzes of the research's results conducted among customers of one of the polish certification firms. These studies were conducted to identify factors affecting the quality of service certification and to examine the quality of services.

The European Union is committed to European integration. Poland has been a member of the EU since 2004 under the Treaty of Accession, which was signed in 2003 in Athens. Joining the European Union is associated with developing a modern legal system. Each product is subject to certification, the process by which a notified legal body provides a written report about the results of the studies of a product. The legal body that provided a uniform framework for the use of marine equipment testing standards is the European Council Directive 96/98 EC of 20 December 1996. The Directive MED was established for the safety of marine transport. The compliance of navigation devices with the Directive MED was confirmed by the “Wheelmark” (“Steering Wheel”). In Poland, the requirements for certification of marine equipment under Directive MED, were implemented after the act regulating the provisions of EU law; these requirements are not widely known among practitioners. This certification system of marine equipment is a coherent system executory throughout the European Union.

Unia Europejska dąży do integracji europejskiej. Polska jest członkiem UE od 2004 roku na mocy tzw. Traktatu akcesyjnego, który został podpisany w 2003 roku w Atenach. Wejście do Unii Europejskiej wiąże się z przygotowaniem nowoczesnego systemu prawa. Każdy wyrób podlega certyfikacji, czyli procesowi, w wyniku którego jednostka notyfikowana udziela pisemnego sprawozdania sporządzonego na temat wyników przeprowadzonych badań produktu. Prawnym instrumentem, która tworzy jednolite ramy stosowania norm badania wyposażenia morskiego jest Dyrektywa Rady 96/98WE z dnia 20 grudnia 1996 r. Dyrektywa MED została ustanowiona dla bezpieczeństwa transportu morskiego. Zgodność urządzeń nawigacyjnych z Dyrektywą MED jest potwierdzana znakiem „Wheelmark” – „koło sterowe”. W Polsce wymagania dotyczące certyfikacji wyposażenia morskiego zgodnie z Dyrektywą MED, zostały wdrożone po przez ustawę, jako akt regulujący postanowienia prawa UE, należy mieć na uwadze, że wymagania te nie są powszechnie znane wśród praktyków. System certyfikacji wyposażenia morskiego jest spójnym systemem obowiązującym w całej Unii Europejskiej.

W wyniku badań eksperymentalnych pokazano, że jeżeli części gwintowe nie odpowiadają warunkom technicznym ISO 898/1-78, mogą powstać mikro-pęknięcia na dnie gwintu z powodu zbyt dużego naprężenia materiału śruby. Opracowano kryterium certyfikacji dla tego typu połączeń nie uwzględnionych w normie ISO 898/1-78.

As the result of experimental research microcracs were shown to arise in the bottom of thread due to overmuch stress in the bolt if threads do not conform to technical conditions of ISO 898/1-78. The criterion of certification for this kind of joints (disregarded in ISO 899/1-78) was worked out.

W publikacji podano zbiór Rozporządzeń i aktów wykonawczych, opublikowanych ostatnio w Dzienniku Urzędowym UE, które miedzy innymi precyzują obowiązki i definicję operatora, zasady kontroli wycieków wspomnianych substancji, a przede wszystkim wprowadzają certyfikację personalną i certyfikację przedsiębiorstw. W zakresie certyfikacji personalnej na obszarze UE wprowadzono cztery poziomy uprawnień.

The paper deals with new legislation measures on selected greenhouse gases came into force in European Union in July 2007. These measures deals with usage of non-chlorinated refrigerants HFC in stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning equipment and heat pumps. Set of legislation acts and decrees published recently in Official Journal of the European Communities has been presented. The definitions of operator along with his duties, rules of tightness controI as well as certitication of personnel and enterprises have been discussed. Certitication of personnel has been categorised on four levels in European Union.

Certifying quality has a Long tradition, it started in the 50s of the 20th century in the military supplying systems and then spread to most areas of economy worldwide. In health care quality of services it is the issue of enormous importance. Therefore the quality assuring and control systems were developed in this sector quite early. Despite globalization, countries are devoted to their own health care systems. Development of these systems depends on the country's tradition, social model and resources available. Therefore quality and attitude towards quality assurance varies between countries. In Poland there are two systems, which, though they were developed for different purposes are used for quality assurance. They are accreditation and ISO family certificates. They are not mandatory, and units which have them, are perceived as those which are more caring for patients. The paper focuses on the ISO certificates and presents the analysis of the number of different health care units awarded by these certificates and companies, which issued them. The results of the study show that there are about 5% of health care units in Poland which have ISO 9001 certificates. These and other ISO family certificates were issued by at least 37 agencies. The leading one has about 20% of this market. The next two - about 10% each. All others are much smaller.

The requirements imposed on industrial enterprises manufacturing welded structures as regards authorizations and certificates enabling them to compete with success on the area of the common European market have been described. Taking into consideration the needs of home producers of welded constructions it has been shown the weight of the Certification Centre, established at the Instytut Spawalnictwa, in the field of certification of quality systems and welding products as well as qualification and certification of welding staff and non-destructive testing personnel. The initiation of the Certification Centre activity, its authorizations acquired during its 10 years work and the most important achievements have been presented.

The article is therefore an indication of the changes in the new edition of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17021:2011 (ISO/IEC 17021:2011) in the context of improvement in the management system certification process. For some time there have been discussing needed changes in the certification process of the management systems to improve its reliability and application of the ethical action in the certificated market. Opposite to these expectations a new edition of the standard PN-EN ISO/IEC 17021:2011 has been extended out. This standard lays on particular emphasis on the requirements for the management systems certification bodies in the criteria of the personnel competence involved in managing and conducting audits and certification process, including identification of the so-called technical areas. It also makes other changes that can improve the process of the management system certification.
