The article is devoted to an evaluation of the development of humanistic psychology. The emergence and development of the category of human person against a background o the problem of the progress and regress of social sciences is also discussed. The author's conclusion is that contemporary humanistic psychology, which is under the influence of 'New Age Movement', is based on an anachronistic conception of human person.

In the program of constructing Humanized Humanistic Psychology (HHP) the lack of anthropological basis of Maslov's psychology is criticized, this time in relation to bringing of its valuating process to the so-called natural predispositions. It is a matter of sense of that naturalness and its empirical grounds. Maslov's natural predispositions are confronted with Scheler's inclinations. Under discussion is Maslov-Rogers' empirical basis which is supposed to justify their conception of the valuating process. The importance of A. Kepinski's clinical practice for his conception of decision (choice) according to hierarchic values is pointed out.

The paper brings an outline of modern discourse on authenticity, including the existentialist, pragmatist and postmodern approaches as well as its conservative critics. It subscribes to the concepts that still regard this ideal as legitimate leaning on the context of understanding the concept of originality. The specific feature of contemporary humanism is seen in the efforts to give integrity back to humans and meaningful content to human life. This is chiefly illustrated within the context of other approaches by examples of the concepts from the domain of humanistic psychology (Rogers, Maslow) and of the ethics of authenticity (Taylor); these regard the authentic expression of human nature as psychological need and ethical challenge.

In the article defended is argument, that this area of philosophical reflection which has the greatest meaning for the present days, is ethics. In ethics, instead, the most essential problem is finishing up oneself a tool of theoretical bases of deciding about proper and unsuitable rules of hierarchisation the values. In this context special meanings gathers convergence of object of researches of philosophy and ethics on the one hand, and the humanistic psychology and existential psychiatry on the other side. Common object of researches are: a normative idea of human nature, a pathology of freedom, and a pathology of values.

The article presents a new program of development of humanization of humanistic psychology. The essence of the program is founding psychological considerations on philosophical anthropology. Especially psychology should take into consideration relations between cognitive subjects and objects of their cognition. Thus, a new type of objectivity of cognition is needed as well as a new approach to communication problems.
