In the article the process of the formation and development of bilingual education is analyzed. The characteristics of bilingual training of specialists in social pedagogy are outlined and the necessity to introduce specialist subjects in two languages is explained. Some peculiarities of bilingual education of future social educationalists in Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University are also presented. It has been confirmed that bilingual education is a necessary component of a modern system of academic education and that it requires further study and development as regards the scientific and methodological aspect. Organizing the study of special subjects according to the bilingual method may become a variant of implementating bilingual education in the educational process at university.

W artykule poddano analizie proces kształtowania się i rozwoju edukacji dwujęzycznej. Nakreślono charakterystyki kształcenia dwujęzycznego specjalistów w zakresie pedagogiki społecznej i pracy socjalnej, uzasadniono konieczność wprowadzenia do planu studiów przedmiotów specjalnych w dwóch językach i przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia edukacji dwujęzycznej przyszłych pedagogów społecznych w Uniwersytecie państwowym imienia Iwana Franki w Żytomierzu. Udowodniono ponadto, że kształcenie dwujęzyczne jest niezbędnym elementem nowoczesnego systemu edukacji w uniwersytecie, który wymaga dalszych badań i opracowania z punktu widzenia naukowego i metodologicznego. Rozwiązaniem pomocnym w jego realizacji w procesie kształcenia na uczelni może być organizacja nauki dyscyplin specjalnych metodą dwujęzyczną.

The article examines the opportunities and prospects for the use of experience of project method during “technology lessons” in US secondary schools, since the value of project technology implementation experience into the educational process in the USA for ensuring holistic development of children, preparing them for adult life, in which they will be able to realize themselves and benefit society, seems undeniable to improve the quality of Ukrainian education. Its structure and content accorded with national traditions and European standards have made possible the success of educational components of American secondary school. This encourages national scientists and teachers to identify and scientifically justify the ways how to use scientific achievements of American educational system. Given the above, we have defined the following objectives: to summarize progressive trends and innovative approaches to the quality training of students in national secondary schools; to formulate guidelines that will improve the efficiency of training Ukrainian students during technology lessons and as a result, will provide the successful integration of the national education system into the European educational space.

The article discusses the possibilities and prospects of using the experience of training future technology teachers in European countries. Its structure and content in accordance with national traditions and European standards led to the success of the educational components of the European Higher Pedagogical School. This fact encourages local scientists and teachers to identify ways of educational achievements use in European education system of technology teachers training. According to the above, we have defined the following tasks: summarize the progressive trends and approaches to quality training of European teachers of technology in national high school; formulate guidelines that will help improve training efficiency of Ukrainian technology teachers and, consequently, ensure the successful integration of the national educational system to the European Higher Education Area.

Foreign experience in forming social competency of future specialists in service sector being the system of social, psychological and pedagogical knowledge, skills, life and professional experience, values, motives of life activities and personal qualities that makes it possible to effectively execute social functions in the society has been revealed in the article. The specificity and influence of the educational process in the educational establishment on the forming of social competency of a student’s personality have been analyzed. The social competency requires from an individual such qualities as integrity, ability to protect his/her own opinion, to resist unwanted influence as well as tolerance and the ability to adapt and, moreover, to operate effectively in constantly changing social conditions. The socially competent person should not only understand the nature and the specific character of a situation or a problem, but also be able to solve it practically, be motivated to do it, be able to analyze both his/her own performance and its consequences. The study of theory and practice of training specialists in service sector has showed that nowadays there are only few researches dedicated to theoretical study and approbation of the content and methodology of forming social competency of future specialists in service sector.
