Abstrakty

The aim of the paper is to analyse the history of the idea of hybrid war as a new type of military activity and to make a synthesis that concerns waging warfare understood as “being conducted with someone else’s hands" or "vicarious warfare," using national minorities, complicated mechanisms of distorting reality and disinformation in order to achieve particular goals with regard to the Kremlin's policy. Moreover, the paper will also present the seeds of the conflict and the origin of the war in Ukraine by highlighting the causes and consequences of preparing and conducting, with the violation of all international rights and treaties, the invasion of this European country, starting with the annexation of the Crimean peninsula by destabilizing the south-eastern part of Ukraine using separatist militant groups.
