Abstrakty

EN

The goal of the study is to present the character and work of the sculptor who considerably influenced the artistic countenance of Moravia and the Highlands (Vysočina region). However, his activity has not yet been comprehensively compiled and it has not been widely recognized by the expert public either. He has been unjustly neglected just like the number of other sculptors who were not active in the very centre of Czech sculpture. Nevertheless, his works are equally valuable as those of his schoolmates and teachers of the sculptors’ generation revolving around Josef Václav Myslbek.
