This article deals with eight full Polish translations of the 'Bhagavad-gita' which were made so far by: Stanislaw Franciszek Michalski-Iwienski (1910), Bronislaw Olszewski (1910), Wanda Dynowska (1947), Krystyna Bocek (1981), Joanna Sachse (1988), Marta Kudelska (1995), Anna Rucinska (2002) and Iwona Szuwalska (2005). After giving some bibliographical information and general characteristic of these translations, different ways in which authors translate original nick-names from the poem (like 'Dhanamjaya' or 'Gudakesa'), philosophical terms like 'dharma', 'karman', 'atman' and Sanskrit compounds are discussed. This philological analysis is followed by some remarks on the stylistic layer of translations in comparison with the original text and at the end some opinions about the value of each translation are presented.
