Abstrakty
Practically in all sectors of the Polish economy modernisation processes implemented in recent years consisted chiefly in the acquisition of the so-called materials technology from external sources. In light of the need to urgently reduce the existing technological gap these actions were rational but, unfortunately, they failed to stimulate demand for domestically prepared solutions. The inconspicuous share of spending on research and development in the total outlays and, especially, of spending on innovations, is a feature characterizing the less developed countries. The results observable so far indicate that programmes designed to support research and development efforts implemented in Poland have not produced fully satisfactory effects in the form of a considerable improvement in the state and scale of the launched processes of introducing innovations in the food and agricultural sector. The process of modernising agriculture, agricultural markets, fisheries and rural areas is inseparably linked to the introduction of innovative solutions. Due to various reasons the pace of this process is not identical throughout Poland. One of the most important reasons is the lack of efficient systems for the transfer of know-how. This calls for the introduction of advanced and effective solutions ensuring the transfer of innovative technologies and exchange of information. The author of the article discusses principal questions connected with the determinants of launching an Interactive Internet Platform and the scope of its influence.
