Trends towards improvement of national ecological policy in the field of recreational nature management are considered. In implementing mechanisms which regulate the protection and use of natural resources it is proposed to apply criteria allowing to assess the selection of instruments that take into account the ecological and economic effectiveness of the recreational nature management as well as the functional role of various instruments . With the purpose of supporting the environmentally balanced development of recreational and health-improving territories of Ukraine, the principles of stimulation of the efficient use and conservation of natural recreational resources are determined.
