This part of the programme was concluded by Loránd Benko's talk entitled 'Homage to the memory of the founders'. Then congratulatory speeches were odelivered on behalf of scholarly societies from Hungary and abroad. The Estonian Mother Tongue Society (Emakeele Selts) was represented by Tonu Seilenthal (Tartu), and the Societas Uralo-Altaica by its managing director Eberhard Winkler (Göttingen).
