W ostatnim czasie na polskim rynku pojawiło się wiele nowych urządzeń służących do masażu wibracyjnego. W instrukcjach obsługi zazwyczaj brak bliższych informacji na temat częstotliwości i natężenia stosowanej wibracji. W piśmiennictwie polskim trudno też znaleźć artykuły naukowe traktujące o sposobach, zastosowaniu i działaniu masażu wibracyjnego. Autorzy niniejszego doniesienia zabrali dane z piśmiennictwa naukowego na temat zastosowania wibracji dla celów treningu sportowego, odnowy biologicznej i w fizjoterapii.

Recently many new devices used for vibratory massage have become available on the Polish market. Manuals usually lack information concerning frequency and intensity of the vibration to be used. Scientific papers on application and effects of vibratory massage are hard to find in Polish references. The authors of this paper gathered the available reports on using vibratory massage in sports, biological renewal and physiotherapy.
