Celem artykułu jest próba ustalenia zestawu wskaźników oceny jakości funkcjonowania grupy zakupowej z perspektywy producenta. Zadanie jest istotne z uwagi na współczesne dążenie przedsiębiorstw do poszukiwania sposobów optymalizujących ich działalność, czego przejawem jest poszukiwanie różnych form współdziałania. Artykuł pozwoli zatem wyjaśnić, czy jakość można przyrównać do efektywności takiej kooperacji. Dla realizacji celu artykułu przeprowadzono studia literaturowe związane z jego tematem, które uzupełniono badaniami empirycznymi w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie. W ramach badań empirycznych wykorzystano analizę wskaźnikową, analizę porównawczą i wywiad swobodny.

The aim of the article is an attempt to establish a set of indicators for assessing the quality of the functioning of a group purchasing organizations (GPO) from the producer’s perspective. The purpose is important due to the contemporary aspiration of enterprises to seek ways to optimize their activities, which is visible in the search for various forms of cooperation. Therefore, the article will explain whether the quality can be compared to the effectiveness of such cooperation. In order to achieve the aim of the article, literature studies related to its topic were conducted, supplemented by empirical research in a selected company. As part of the empirical research, the following methods were used: ratio analysis, comparative analysis and free-form interview.

In this article, Control charts are employed to analyse the strength quality control of ready-mixed concrete for rigid pavement. The results of the study support that CUSUM statistical analysis is more sensitive than the Shewhart control chart. The CUSUM chart can detect the continual changes in the concrete quality in a more accurate way. By combining the CUSUM control chart and the Shewhart control chart, higher accuracy of quality control analysis could be achieved, in order words, for quality control performance when in built/pouring the ready-mix concrete as rigid pavement.

The main aim of this article is to present a method to process Inland AIS (automatic identification system) data that is part of RIS (river information services), as well as to synthesize and visualize information obtained from it for further analysis. This article presents problems with imaging the position of inland navigation units in the immediate vicinity of the Długi and Kolejowy Bridges in Szczecin. The passing of 80 inland units on this section of the Western Oder River was analyzed. Data were obtained from the AIS message database and industrial cameras of the RIS Monitoring Centre at the Inland Navigation Office in Szczecin. 35 units were equipped with AIS messaging devices. This article analyzed the data after previous processing, which consisted of selecting appropriate research units and decoding AIS messages recorded in the VDM message type (VHF Data Link Message). Then, the acquired positions of inland navigation units on the map were visualized to calculate the number of errors and their location. The obtained data were used to illustrate the locations of interference during the operation of transmitter-receiver equipment that prevented determining the exact position of inland navigation units in the immediate vicinity of the above-mentioned bridges.

The analysis of product quality is an indispensable action in developing enterprises. In case of mechanical products, the non-destructive tests (NDT) are effective way to make control. Non-destructive tests allow making assessing product quality with-out destroying it. Due to the dynamically growing requirements of customers and necessary, the improvement actions for demanding organizations important is to make a complex analysis of quality products. Such an action was proposed to a production and service company located in Podkarpacie region of Poland. The aim was to analyze the quality of the mechanical lever and improvement the process of non-destructive tests, in order to identify the source of nonconformity with using quality management techniques. These activities were to demonstrate that the sequence (NDT and selected quality management techniques) would allow the detection of unconformities on the product surface and also identify the source of this unconformity. In the enterprise, the quality research of the product using fluorescent and magnetic-powder methods was made. After identified the unconformity on the product the additional actions which could point the source of unconformity were not practicing. The proposition of improvement in the NTD was use appropriately selected quality management techniques (Ishi-kawa diagram and 5Why method) after identified the unconformity. The mechanical lever was tested, which its surface using the magnetic-powder method was analyzed. After identified unconformity (scratch) using the Ishikawa diagram, the potential causes were identified and four main causes were selected (i.e.: uncleaned pattern, impurities during production, poor molding mass, poorly carried out product production method). It has been shown that sequence of NDT, Ishikawa diagram and 5Why method allows to identify the unconformity on product surface and source its creation. This sequence could be practicing to analyze other product in production and services enterprises.

Exchange of and access to spatial data is the principal goal of any Spatial Data Infrastructure, therefore, one of the key concepts of SDI is interoperability, especially semantic and syntactic. Whereas application schemas and quality issues are one of the aspects that have to be considered to ensure a successful data interchange in SDI. Two types of application schema are widely used in the European SDI as well as in the Polish SDI. They cover both semantic and syntactic interoperability and are an integral parts of spatial data specifications and relevant regulations in the form of data models. However, working out accurate and correct application schemas may be a challenge. Additionally, faulty or too complex application schemas can influence the ability for valid data interchange, and consequently, prevent achieving interoperability within SDI. Therefore, the capability to examine and estimate the UML and GML application schemas quality seems to be a worthwhile and important issue in the context of semantic and syntactic interoperability in SDI. The main subject of this article it to set out the context of performed studies, among others, the role of application schema in the interoperable data exchange, issues related to the concept of quality and its measures.

In times of innovation, rapid economic development and high competition, each producer tries to improve the condition of his company. Then the quality of services or products is improved, losses are minimized, production processes are optimized and costs associated with running a business are reduced. The Kaizen philosophy can be used to solve any problem and issue related to work in the organization. Its main value is to strive for the continuous company’s development through small ideas, which incrementally cause continuous improvement of the company. The paper presents how the functioning of the Kaizen philosophy in a company affects the initiatives of employees, which directly affect the optimization of processes. The presented research results show how innovative solutions consisting in limiting the use of masking tapes influence the improvement of product assembly process.

The quality of the construction services provided has always played an important role not only in maintaining the safety and proper functioning of the construction objects in question, but also in other related features, which will also be the subject of a research study with the target group of the construction objects in question in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in Poland. This article explains the concept of quality and quality in terms of construction services. It indicates their essence and the process of implementation in the long-term perspective during the operation and exploitation of a building object. The process of quality assessment is based on the selection of contractors for construction works using fuzzy logic. The procedure of prequalification with the use of fuzzy sets was also used for such an assumed purpose.

The paper presents the use of the Kano model and the questionnaire contained in it to analyze customer preferences in relation to children's furniture - a travel cot. A representative group of 30 people was created. The survey showed which attributes of the travel cot were assessed by the respondents as must-have, one dimensional, and which are excitement attributes (delighters) and mistakes for them. The study will help design a new travel cot model according to expectations of customers - future parents and parents of young children.

The paper presents the results of research aimed at assessing the level of satisfaction of individual customers of a company offering Internet access services. The study was conducted using the CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) method. The study process consisted of 2 stages. The first study conducted in 2017 identified customer requirements and revealed insufficient customer satisfaction with the services provided to date. The analysis of the CSI revealed that customer satisfaction in these areas was not the highest. This state of affairs forced the company to carry out a broad improvement program, which is characterized in this paper. The second study was conducted (in 2019) a year after the implementation of the changes. Owing to this, it was possible to compare customer satisfaction ratings and the customer requirements, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the improvement measures taken. The study allowed to broaden the knowledge about the analyzed service in terms of methods of its measurement and factors having a decisive influence on its quality and efficiency. The service under analysis has been effectively improved.

Do produkcji olejów tłoczonych na zimno wykorzystywane są surowce tradycyjne, takie jak nasiona rzepaku czy słonecznika (ostatnio również ich odmiany wysokooleinowe), nasiona lnu, a także wiele surowców o specyficznym składzie chemicznym i właściwościach prozdrowotnych, np.: pestki dyni, nasiona chia, lnianka, konopie, czarnuszka, ostropest, wiesiołek. Większość badanych rynkowych olejów tłoczonych na zimno charakteryzowała się niskim stopniem hydrolizy i utlenienia lipidow. Normy określone w Codex Alimentarius dla tych olejów, dla liczby kwasowej i nadtlenkowej, zostały przekroczone w przypadku oleju czarnuszkowego, dyniowego i konopnego. Oleje z chia i lnu zawierały bardzo dużo wielonienasyconych kwasów tłuszczowych z rodziny n-3, głównie kwasu α-linolenowego (odpowiednio 64 i 54%), natomiast w olejach wysokooleinowych dominował zdecydowanie mniej podatny na utlenianie – kwas oleinowy (od 73 do 83%). Największą stabilnością oksydacyjną oznaczoną w teście Rancimat w temp. 120°C odznaczały się oliwa extra virgin (10,40 h) oraz oleje rzepakowy (8,01 h) i słonecznikowy (7,58 h) wysokooleinowe, natomiast najmniejszą – tłoczone na zimno olej z nasion chia (0,48 h) i olej lniany (0,54 h).

For the production of cold-pressed oils, traditional raw materials are used, i.e. rapeseed or sunflowerseed (recently also their high oleic varieties), flax, but also a number of raw materials with specific chemical composition and health-promoting properties, e.g. pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, camelina, hemp, black cumin, milk thistle, evening primrose. Most of the tested oils were characterized by a low degree of lipid hydrolysis and oxidation. The standards set out in the Codex Alimentarius for these oils, for acid and peroxide values, have been exceeded in the case of black cumin, pumpkin and hemp oil. Chia and flax oil contained a large amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids from the n-3 family, mainly α-linolenic acid (64 and 54%, respectively), while in high oleic oils it was- oleic acid which is less susceptible to oxidation (73 to 83%). The highest oxidative stability determined in the Rancimat test at 120°C was found in extra virgin olive oil (10,40 h) as well as high oleic rapeseed (8,01 h) and sunflower (7,58 h) oils, while the lowest cold pressed chia seed oil (0,48 h) and flaxseed oil (0,54 h).

Korzystając ze zbioru danych opisujących rzeczywistość, istotną kwestią jest wiedza o jakości danych w nim zgromadzonych. W przypadku ewidencji gruntów i budynków, która stanowi podstawę m.in. planowania przestrzennego, określania wymiaru podatków i świadczeń, oznaczenia nieruchomości w księgach wieczystych, statystyki publicznej czy gospodarki nieruchomościami, określenie jakości danych w niej zawartych będzie miało kluczowe znaczenie. W kontekście rozważań wiarygodności i dokładności danych gromadzonych w bazie danych ewidencyjnych należy odnieść się przede wszystkim do dwóch atrybutów punktu granicznego: źródła danych o położeniu punktu granicznego (ZRD) oraz błędu średniego położenia punktu granicznego względem osnowy geodezyjnej 1 klasy (BPP). Artykuł przedstawia często wykonywane prace geodezyjne związane z określaniem przebiegu granic działek ewidencyjnych i wskazuje, jakie atrybuty ZRD mogą zostać nadane punktom granicznym określonym w toku tych czynności. Dla każdego z postępowań wskazano wartość atrybutu ZRD zależną m.in. od wyniku przeprowadzonego postępowania czy też od wykorzystanej metody pomiaru.

Using the data set describing reality, important issue is the knowledge of data quality collected in this set. In case of land and building register, which forms the basis of among others spatial planning, determining the size of taxes and benefits, designation of real estate in land and mortgage register, public statistics or real estate management, determining the quality of included data will be crucial. In terms of credibility and accuracy of data collected in the cadastral database, reference should be made primarily to two boundary point attributes: data sources on the boundary point location (ZRD) and the boundary point average position error in relation to the geodetic control network (BPP). This article presents frequently performed geodetic works related to determining the course of cadastral parcels borders and indicates which ZRD attributes can be given to the border points specified in the course of these activities. For each of the proceedings, the ZRD attribute value was indicated depending on, among others the result of the procedure carried out or the measurement method used.

The evaluated reliability and quality measures, which are important to assess the reserve capabilities of the power system for various operating scenarios, are probabilistic in nature. To improve the reliability and quality of two area interconnected power systems must be to make sure that the ability of one area to deal with compensate the deficiency in the other area. This paper presents a novel assessment technique of twoarea interconnected power system based on the reliability and quality measures, as well as, the capacity and situation of tie line and the Load NotServed (LNS). Systems with hundreds of buses and tens of complex stations can only be analyzed using advanced and numerically effective largescale algorithms for reliability and quality assessment as demonstrated in this paper. Practical applications are additionally exhibited, for demonstration purposes, to the Saudi electricity power networks.

The practical implementation of hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) and in particular the definition of the critical control points (CCPs) in the food industry is usually a complex structured task. This is particularly the case of food enterprise, where quality/safety manager ability, knowledge of the production processes and ‘‘sensitiveness’’ is usually the discriminate for the proper identification and prioritization of risks. The same applies for the definition of causes which may lead to food safety hazards. This paper addresses the issues of how quality/safety managers can objectively and automatically implement the HACCP principles of hazard analysis in the application of HACCP, which is the identification of risk priorities and of the related CCPs. The proposed methodology combines decision tree analysis approach for the analytical decomposition of the relevant steps in the manufacturing process of ice cream.

Internal logistics is a key element of a production process as it specifies product quality, timeliness and value of orders. The purpose of the research was to determine the amount of non-compliance in the selected production process caused by internal logistics operations. The analysis covers both the quantity and type of non-compliance as well as the cost of non-compliance. One of the basic quality management tools was used in the research - Parteo-Lorenz analysis. An attempt was made to identify potential causes of non-compliance. The significant impact of non-compliance arising in internal logistics operations in production costs was pointed out.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę niezgodności stwierdzonych podczas badań stanu technicznego zapalnika MG-25 mających wpływ na jakość tego wyrobu w procesie jego eksploatacji. Analizę przeprowadzono w oparciu o wyniki badań partii zapalników MG-25 wyprodukowanych w latach 1970-2000. Do zilustrowania ilościowego udziału poszczególnych niezgodności mających wpływ na jakość tego wyrobu wykorzystana została metoda Pareto-Lorenza.

The paper presents an analysis of faults of MG-25 fuse which affect the efficiency of this article in the life cycle and were detected at testing its technical status. The analysis was made on the grounds of test results received for production lots of MG-25 fuses from years 1970-2000. The quantitative contribution of particular faults affecting the quality of this article was illustrated by Pareto-Lorenz method.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wybranych metod pomiaru jakości usług. Obiektem badań są metody pomiaru jakości dedykowane przedsiębiorstwom usługowym. Do osiągnięcia założonego celu badawczego wykorzystana została krytyczna analiza literatury przedmiotu z zakresu zarządzania jakością, marketingu i geografii usług oraz analiza wybranych czasopism. Artykuł składa się z czterech zasadniczych części. W pierwszej zaprezentowano rozumienie i znaczenie pojęcia „jakość usług”. Druga część zawiera zestawienie wybranych metod pomiaru jakości usług, a trzecia – przedstawia zastosowania tych metod. Czwarta część dotyczy doskonalenia jakości usług. Podsumowanie artykułu stanowią wnioski z przeprowadzonych analiz.

The purpose of the article is to present selected methods for measuring the quality of services. The object of research are quality measurement methods dedicated to service companies. To achieve the assumed research goal, critical analysis of the literature on the subject in the field of quality management, marketing, geography of services and selected magazines were used. The article consists of four main parts. The first section concentrates on the understanding and meaning of the term ‘service quality’. The second part contains a review of selected methods for measuring service quality, and the third part presents the use of these methods. The fourth part describes improving the quality of services. Finally, the fifth part concludes the paper.

Celem artykułu jest dyskusja definicji logistyki usług, jej jakości i sposobu oceny oraz zaprezentowanie wybranej metody oceny jakości logistyki usług na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa. Dla realizacji celu artykułu przeprowadzono studia literaturowe oraz badania empiryczne wykorzystujące zaproponowaną ocenę jakości logistyki usług. W ramach badań empirycznych wykorzystano analizę wskaźnikową, badania ankietowe i wywiad swobodny. Przeprowadzone badania wskazały na możliwość oceny jakości logistyki usług poprzez połączenie wskaźników logistycznych z oceną satysfakcji klienta w aspekcie jakości. Wyniki badań wskazały, iż uzyskane dane w odniesieniu do danego rynku stanowią wiarygodne źródło informacji dla zarządzających dla działań zapewniających zbudowanie konkurencyjnej pozycji rynkowej.

The purpose of the article is to start discussion focused on definition of the logistics of services, their quality and how they are evaluated. For the purposes of this article, literature studies on logistics in services and empirical studies have been carried out to enable the use of the selected assessment of the quality of service logistics. Empirical research also focused on the quality of service logistics and used the following methods: indicator analysis, surveys and interviews of free form. The studies carried out showed the possibility of assessing the quality of service logistics by combining analysis of logistic indicators with customer quality assessment. Research indicates that market-specific data is an important source of information for managers to continue their efforts to ensure that a company builds a competitive market offer.

Artykuł omawia problemy związane z motywacją finansową (tutaj ograniczone do wynagradzania za jakość) i pozafinansową – głównie z systemem uznawania wysiłków na rzecz doskonalenia jakości. Celem artykułu jest próba usystematyzowania wiedzy dotyczącej szeroko rozumianej motywacji jakości. Autor próbuje odpowiedzieć na dwa podstawowe pytania: czy wyzwalane poczucie dumy pracowników może działać motywująco? Jakie środki motywacji wykorzystują organizacje projakościowe i jakie są ich ograniczenia? Główną metodą badawczą zastosowaną przez autora był przegląd literatury.

The article discusses problems related to financial (here limited to rewarding for quality) and non-financial incentives – mainly the system of recognition of efforts to improve quality. The aim of the article is an attempt to systematize the knowledge concerning the broadly understood quality motivation. The author has tried to answer two basic questions: can the released sense of pride of employees have a motivating effect? What tools of motivation are used by pro-quality organizations and what are their limitations? The main research method used by the author was a literature review.

Pojęcie kosztów jakości jest znane od ubiegłego wieku. Na przestrzeni lat powstało wiele charakterystyk tego pojęcia, przedstawiano różnego rodzaju struktury obrazujące poszczególne grupy wchodzące w skład kosztów jakości. W artykule przybliżono ewolucję pojęcia i rozwój modelu kosztów jakości. Podkreślono zależność ich podziału na dwie główne grupy – tzw. koszty zgodności i koszty niezgodności. Na tej podstawie zaproponowano uniwersalny model kosztów jakości, który może być wykorzystywany przez wszelkie organizacje niezależnie od wielkości czy charakteru działalności.

The concept of quality costs has been known since the last century. Over the years, many characteristics of this concept have been created. Various types of structures showing individual groups of quality costs have been introduced. The article presents the evolution of the concept and development of the quality cost model. The relationship in their division into two main groups was emphasized – the so-called compliance costs and non-compliance costs. On this basis, a universal quality cost model has been proposed, which can be used by all organizations regardless of the size or nature of the business.
