Jest to także nowy porządek ekonomiczny trzeciej fali rozwoju społecznego, w którym decydującą rolę pełni wiedza, techniki cyfrowe, sieci i działania w czasie rzeczywistym. Kluczem do sukcesu organizacji w nowej rzeczywistości jest jakość i wiedza. Wiedza musi być ukierunkowana na jakość wyrobu, procesów, informacji i życia. Wiedza i umiejętności jej stosowania do tworzenia innowacji to podstawowe determinanty kreowania wartości. Ważne są wyróżniające kompetencje oraz stały rozwój kapitału ludzkiego. Sukces w warunkach nowej gospodarki mierzy się osiągnięciami w zarządzaniu wiedzą oraz efektami uzyskanymi w wyniku pośredniej i bezpośredniej eksploatacji własności intelektualnej. W warunkach nowej gospodarki przedsiębiorstwa powinny stosować projakościowe zarządzanie, które umożliwia efektywne prowadzenie biznesu. Wysoka jakość zarządzania stwarza warunki do wzrostu efektywności i konkurencyjności organizacji. Współczesny nurt zarządzania organizacjami oparty jest na kryterium jakości. Zarządzanie jakością to dynamiczny i innowacyjny proces, który umożliwia promocję świadomości projakościowej oraz tworzy podstawy dla stałego doskonalenia zarządzania. Skuteczność tego doskonalenia zależy od jakości wiedzy. W artykule pokazano istotę nowej gospodarki, jej założenia, elementy, uwarunkowania funkcjonowania. Wskazano na potrzebę projakościowego zarządzania w organizacjach funkcjonujących w warunkach nowej gospodarki. Podkreślono rangę zasobów niematerialnych w procesie zarządzania oraz doskonalenia organizacji. W artykule wykorzystano analizę krytyczną dostępnej literatury oraz wnioskowanie.

The new economy is a new economic order in which there is a strong concentration on intangible resources, including knowledge. It is also a new economic order of the third wave of social development, in which knowledge, digital techniques, networks and real time activities play a decisive role. The key to the success of an organisation in the new reality is quality and knowledge. Knowledge must be embedded in the quality of product, processes, information and life. Knowledge and the ability to apply it to create innovations are basic determinants of value creation. Distinctive competences and continuous development of human capital are crucial. Success in the conditions of the new economy is measured by achievements in knowledge management and effects obtained as a result of direct and indirect exploitation of intellectual property. In the conditions of the new economy, enterprises should apply pro-quality management, which enables effective operation of business. High quality of management creates conditions for increasing the effectiveness and competitiveness of the organisation. Modern organisation management is based on the criterion of quality. Quality management is a dynamic and innovative process, which enables the promotion of pro-quality awareness and creates the basis for continuous improvement of management. The effectiveness of this improvement depends on the quality of knowledge. The article shows the essence of the new economy, its assumptions, elements, conditions of functioning. It indicates the need for proquality management in organizations operating in the new economy. The role of non-material resources in the process of management and improvement of the organization was emphasized. The article uses critical analysis of available literature and logical reasoning.

Celem opracowania jest identyfikacja roli raportowania obrotu produktami leczniczymi w aptekach. Zaprezentowano podstawowe założenia wymogu raportowania stanów magazynowych, w odniesieniu do poszczególnych grup interesariuszy, związanych z informacją o stanach magazynowych w aptece. Zidentyfikowano również korzyści dla poszczególnych grup interesariuszy wynikające z konieczności przygotowania tego typu raportów.

The aim of the study is to identify the role of reporting the turnover of medicinal products in pharmacies. The basic assumptions of the inventory reporting requirement are presented in relation to individual stakeholder groups related to information about the inventory levels in a pharmacy. The benefits for individual stakeholder groups resulting from the need to prepare such reports were also identified.

Cele artykułu było wprowadzenie czytelnika w podstawy metody Six Sigma. Na początku zdefiniowano pojęcie Six Sigma oraz opisano pochodzenie nazwy. Zestawiono etapy wdrażania metody Six Sgima w przedsiębiorstwie i zasady Six Sigma. Scharakteryzowano także projekt DMAIC.

Six Sigma is a modern and very rigorous way of managing organizations which aim is to strive for excellence. The method is based on TQM and continuous improvement. The purpose of the paper was to introduce the reader to the basics of the Six Sigma method. At the beginning, the term Six Sigma was defined and the origin of the name was described. The stages of Six Sigma implementation in the company and Six Sigma principles have been summarized. The DMAIC project was also characterized.

The procedure of the qualitative analysis of complex technical systems is discussed. One may use such methods of analysis for time series characterized the functioning of such systems. These time serious aren’t confirmed the hypothesis of trend existence. One may use at this qualitative analysis the methods of nonlinear dynamics and the theory of chaos. The basis for similar researches is Takens’s theorem. The randomness of the studied dynamical system as the model of the complex technical system given by time realizations is established by means of Lyapunov’s indicator. The state stability is estimated by Hausdorf’s fractal dimension and the fractality index. Visual evaluation of the time series was carried out by means of the phase trajectory restoration procedure. As a result of the analysis of the phase points in the phase space the split attractor is indicated, which gives the chance to speak about its bifurcation.

The article describes the process of analysing and improving the rolling stock repair. The problem was ineffective qualification of additional works and elements to be replaced in the renovated wagons. The qualification is carried out before undertaking the repair activities. Improper qualification increases the cost of renovation and, in consequence, causes the customer to incur additional expenses, which lowers their trust in the enterprise. The aim was to reduce the number of elements qualified for renovation and, thus, lower the unplanned costs and the wagon repair time. Major problems involved in the process of qualification were identified and, owing to the use of the SD method, corrective and preventive actions were prepared and undertaken. The last stage consisted in the verification of the results obtained.

The Green Lean approach focuses on identifying and eliminating the green waste by using the selected Lean instruments. The study presents the application of selected Green Lean instruments in improving the catering services. The aim of work is to present how the selected instruments such as Kaizen, 5S, Standardization, Visual Management, Kanban, 5Why, Benchmarking, JiT (Just-in-Time), diagram Spaghetti are used in improving catering services by identifying and eliminating green waste. The Green Lean approach can be used in catering services as a way to identify the process sites in gastronomic production that contribute to green waste and prevent it from happening.

The article presents the essence of the method of value stream mapping on the example of a selected production process in an automotive company. The analysis presented in the paper concerned the indication of potential organizational possibilities of actions aimed at implementing changes in the organization based on the results of measuring the process with the use of the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) indicator. All stages of the production process were explained, which allowed to obtain the results of the process efficiency analyses. Further on, the results of the analysis of process improvement in accordance with the PDCA approach are discussed. The significance of establishing the method in order to improve the functioning of the process and the meaning and usage of the value stream mapping methodology in building successful relations with the end customer were emphasized. The undertaken activities constitute a research gap defined as follows: the effectiveness of management methods in an organization depends on the efficiency of using the applied indicators and reacting to changes. Thus, defining models with potential application capabilities in order to increase management effectiveness is one of the most important issues in the area of enterprise organization.

The article presents the issues that arise in the establishment and actual activation of Quality Policies. The first part of the article describes the essence of the Quality Policy and its implications for the structure, functioning and effectiveness of the enterprise management system in the area of quality. It also describes selected factors that mainly determine the Quality Policy, and includes the results of research carried out in 2015-2019 among 166 industrial enterprises operating in Poland. The aim of the research was to assess the actual Quality Policy put in place in each enterprise. The data was obtained on the basis of a survey conducted among persons representing middle management. The article contains the results of research on the assessment of selected aspects of the Quality Policy in the area of enterprise improvement. Statistical analysis of the research results allowed an assessment of the level of focus on improvement of enterprises and to compare the results in groups of enterprises with different employment levels and various degrees of independence in determining and implementing Quality Policy.

The article constitutes a theoretical-empirical study concerning possible improvement instruments that can be implemented in the management systems of Poland’s public, economic universities. The theoretical part of the article concerns critical analysis of literature relating to improvement and improvement instruments dedicated to the examined universities. In the empirical part of the article, analysis of use of improvement instruments was done by employing the following methods: case study, standardized questionnaire, documents analysis and deduction. The analysis concerned: knowledge about instruments, their usage, instruments’ assessment and directions of possible improvements of management systems of the examined universities.

In the article there were presented issues related to the improvement of the occupational health and safety (OHS) management system in a selected energy industry company. The research entity belongs to the leading producers of electricity and heat in Poland. In the paper there were analyzed data on accidents in the research period covering the years 2012-2017. There was also made a short description of the company's activities regarding internal health and safety inspections carried out periodically. Furthermore, there were analyzed the activities improving the occupational health and safety management system in a selected research entity. In the paper there were also presented the sizes and types of activities (projects), that were aimed at improving the health and safety area and included in the company's business strategy. On the basis of the data and the analyzes carried out, it was possible to make a comprehensive assessment of the health and safety management system of the company and to indicate that corrective actions are continuous.

Safety is a key and necessary condition for the sustainable development of the railway industry. Every entity operating in the railway area should maintain and increase the level of security as part of its operations. The subject of the analysis of data on the rail transport safety in European countries and content of the safety culture program implemented in Poland, whose main objective is to implement safety culture principles in the railway transport and to encourage all companies operating in the railway industry to improve the rail transport safety as the key condition for the sustainable development of railway industry. Paper contains results of the analysis of the European rail transport safety level in the context of the objectives set for Poland indicated by the European Union (CSI value) as improvement areas.

The paper discusses options for assessing risks with a view to identifying the nature and scope of the impacts of non-conformities and defining improvement opportunities. Such options are described in terms of hazards and opportunities. The opportunities reflect the measures required to increase the chances of establishing more effective safety management systems. The hazards reflect the circumstances that may prevent organizations achieving the desired benefits and that must therefore be eliminated in the course of system deployment and operation. Once identified, the above will help build the capacity to improve the existing management system in any organization that seeks to systemically modify its occupational safety system. The paper invokes the requirements set forth in ISO 45001, which it cross-references with binding legislation (including Directive 89/391/EEC). The approach helps define the benefits to be derived from assessing risks with a view to identify improvement opportunities and hazards by methods best suited to an organization’s environment.

The aim of the research is to analyze the quality of life improvement (Kaizen) in the running aspect in Poland. Until now, issues related to the running analysis of the quality life in terms were not the subject of broader, comprehensive scientific considerations. The research was taken in 2019 year and covered a group of 396 runners. The respondents are women posing 67,9% and men posing 32,1% residing in different areas of Poland. The research was based on a questionnaire (CAWI - Computer Assisted Web Interview). Although for most respondents the result is not the most important, they try to improve their running attitude and time. Runners use different ways to be motivated to work on themselves. An example of motivators can be a medal, obtained at the finish line or sharing success with participation in competition on social networks (Facebook).

Main objective of the study is to analyse the impact of portfolio management on the level of quality in EU projects implemented in public universities. First part of the article is theoretical and prepared on the basis of a critical analysis of literature in the field of quality management in projects and project portfolios. Second part of the text was based on primary data collected during preliminary survey conducted among EU project managers implemented in public technical colleges in the 2014-2020 financial perspective. Literature studies and results of own research allowed to identify and assess threats affecting the quality level in EU projects that result from transition from the level of individual project management to the level of project portfolio management. Continuous improvement of quality is a characteristic feature of organizations using quality management systems, so the article indicates the need to have an internal quality assurance system at universities. Importance of organizational units managing EU projects in universities in ensuring that products and results of a project are of high quality have also been underlined.

The article presents the results in the scope of analysis and improvement of the galvanized wire production process with the use of Six Sigma's DMAIC cycle. The basic problem was identified - incorrect wire diameters after galvanizing and specific tools and methods were used to analyze this problem and look for its solution. The potential of Pareto analysis, SPC method, control plan, 5WHY analysis was used. As a result of the analyzes carried out, the source cause was identified - contaminated containers dispensing the preparation maintaining the temperature in the galvanizing unit. To eliminate the problem, maintenance of the machine used to cover the bare wire with zinc was carried out, which allowed to achieve the following results: standstills at the Drawing and Galvanizing Department were eliminated, the duration of the manufacturing process and the percentage of products beyond the specification were significantly reduced.

The article presents a case study of the practical use of BOST surveys to identify the most important areas that require improvement actions. It was made the identification and of areas requiring improvement from the fourteenth Toyota’s management principle point of view. According to this principle it is crucial to determine the causes of problem by solving technical issues. The research object is company from illumination branch. Some production workers of the company with the help of BOST questionnaire survey showed, which factors can bring the best effect after being improved. In frames of the work it was made characteristics of the research object - producer of illumination, the presentation of research methodology and content fourteenth Toyota’s management principle. Based on the survey results of carried out on the population of production workers, a series of importance areas for improvement was formulated. The aim of the analysis is to present which factors are the most important by building the significance sequences of obtained results. In the article were presented results of analysis with using circular charts, box-and-whisker plots and some statistical tools. The results obtained for the type of small and medium-sized enterprises overlap with the results of tests verified in other enterprises.

Wykonano badania nad możliwościami zwiększenia przepuszczalności powietrza papierów przeznaczonych do wytwarzania worków. Porównano skuteczność stosowanej obecnie metody poprawy tego parametru poprzez perforowanie struktury materiału na sucho z nową metodą polegającą na wykonaniu tej operacji wówczas, gdy wstęga papieru jest jeszcze w stanie mokrym. Na podstawie otrzymanych wyników stwierdzono, iż zaproponowana metoda umożliwiła utrzymanie akceptowalnego kompromisu pomiędzy przyrostem przepuszczalności powietrza wytworów papierniczych oraz niewielką utratą ich parametrów wytrzymałościowych (w odniesieniu do efektów uzyskiwanych drogą perforacji na sucho).

Research works related to the problem of the improvement of air permeability for sack papers were conducted. Comparison of the effectiveness of currently used method based on the puncturing of dry paper with newly proposed method was done. New method is based on the puncturing of paper which is still in wet state. Obtained results show that proposed method allows to maintain the acceptable compromise between obtained high air permeability and acceptable decrease in strength properties of the processed paper.

Zmienne otoczenie organizacji zmusza je do poszukiwania sposobów gwarantujących trwanie na rynku i rozwój. Nasilające się procesy walki o klienta oznaczają wzrost troski o poziom jakości oferty rynkowej. Dlatego musi wzrastać jakość zarządzania, która silnie powiązana jest z procesami doskonalenia. Doskonalenie prowadzi do poprawy wartości, wzrostu efektywności i sprawności działania. Obejmować powinno wszystkie obszary i procesy organizacji. Od prawidłowego doboru metod i technik doskonalenia zależą efekty i koszty doskonalenia zarządzania. W warunkach rosnącego znaczenia zasobów niematerialnych w coraz szerszym zakresie w procesie doskonalenia będzie wykorzystywana wiedza oraz technologie ICT. Konieczne zatem jest doskonalenie zarządzania danymi, informacjami i wiedzą. Doskonalenie musi być celem kadry zarządzającej, rośnie zatem rola przywództwa w procesie doskonalenia organizacji. Doskonalenie to ważny obszar badań naukowych i aplikacji praktycznych. Jest to niekończący się proces, wymagający zaangażowania, kompetencji, chęci działania i determinacji. Systemy zarządzania, technologie informacyjne, umiejętne wykorzystywanie zasobów materialnych i niematerialnych wpływają na sukces organizacji prowadzącej działalność w warunkach zmian, ryzyka i niepewności. W artykule wskazano na istotę i znaczenie doskonalenia zarządzania w organizacji. Wskazano na związki, jakie zachodzą pomiędzy doskonałością a doskonaleniem, pokazano miejsce przywództwa w procesie doskonalenia współczesną organizacją.

The changing environment of the organisations forces them to look for ways to guarantee market success and continuous development. The level of customer care means continuous effort for the level of quality of the market offer. Therefore, the quality of management process must increase, which is strongly connected with the processes of improvement. Improvement leads to improved value, increased effectiveness and efficiency. It should cover all areas and processes of the organisation. The results and costs of management improvement depend on the proper selection of methods and techniques of improvement. In the conditions of growing importance of intangible resources, knowledge and ICT technologies will be increasingly used in the improvement process. Therefore, it is necessary to improve data, information and knowledge management processes. Improvement must be the goal of the management, therefore the role of leadership in the process of improving the organisation is growing. Improvement is an important area of research and practical applications. It is a continuous process, requiring committment, competence, willingness to act and determination. Management systems, information technologies, skilful use of material and nonmaterial resources influence the success of an organization conducting business in the conditions of change, risk and uncertainty. The article points out the essence and importance of improving management in the organization. The relations between excellence and improvement are indicated, the place of leadership in the process of improvement in the contemporary organization is shown.

Proces kompletacji jest jednym z czterech procesów jakie są realizowane w całym magazynie. Poprawność oraz czas jego wykonania mają duży i bezpośredni wpływ na przebieg całego procesu magazynowego. W aspekcie czasu należy dążyć do jego minimalizacji przy jednoczesnym zachowaniu odpowiedniej jakości i staranności wykonywanych czynności. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie konieczności ciągłego doskonalenia procesów zachodzących w przedsiębiorstwie. Opracowano i omówiono przykład procesu kompletacji oraz zaproponowano rozwiązanie usprawniające jego funkcjonowanie.

The picking process is one of four processes that are carried out in the entire warehouse. The correctness and the time of its execution have a large and direct impact on the entire warehouse process. In the aspect of time, one should strive to minimize it while maintaining appropriate quality and diligence of performed activities. The purpose of this article is to present the need for continuous improvement of processes taking place in the enterprise. An example of the picking process was developed and discussed and a solution was proposed to improve its functioning.

The article is devoted to the current managerial issues of state financial budgets, particularly, the improvement of financial management processes within state budget execution. Effective budgets execution is very important for every state, especially for developing countries. To ensure that, governments need to provide different managerial types, ways and control techniques of financial management. The research methodology of this paper is based on conducting the comparative analysis of existing patterns of macroeconomic development, political and social issues in the context of the financial management processes within state budget execution. It is also implemented SWOT, systematic vision, causes and consequences analysis and expert assessment. In the research, it is carried out the current analysis of financial management issues in state budgets of Ukraine and Kazakhstan from 2013 to 2017. It is determined the main directions for the development and improvement of financial management over the budgets executions in terms of management, control and standardization processes. It is proposed the classification of financial management standards into organizational, functional and special ones, where the solutions and recommendations are designed taking into consideration the short, medium and long-term perspectives.

Skuteczne wykonanie budżetów jest bardzo ważne dla każdego państwa, zwłaszcza dla krajów rozwijających się. Aby to zapewnić, rządy muszą zapewnić różne rodzaje zarządzania, sposoby i techniki kontroli zarządzania finansowego. Metodologia badawcza tego artykułu opiera się na przeprowadzeniu analizy porównawczej istniejących wzorców rozwoju makroekonomicznego, kwestii politycznych i społecznych w kontekście procesów zarządzania finansami w ramach wykonania budżetu państwa. Zastosowana jest również analiza SWOT, systematyczna wizja, analiza przyczyn i konsekwencji oraz ocena ekspercka. W badaniach przeprowadzana została analiza bieżących zagadnień zarządzanych z finansami w budżetach państwowych Ukrainy i Kazachstanu w latach 2013-2017. Określa się główne kierunki rozwoju i poprawy zarządzania finansami w zakresie wykonywania budżetów w zakresie zarządzania, procesy kontroli i standaryzacji. Proponuje się klasyfikację standardów zarządzania finansowego na organizacyjne, funkcjonalne i specjalne, w których rozwiązania i zalecenia są projektowane z uwzględnieniem perspektyw krótko-, średnio- i długoterminowych.
