W artykule opisano obecne wymagania Dyrektywy energetycznej (EPBD), które dotyczą charakterystyki energetycznej budynków oraz przedstawiono stan jej implementacji w wybranych państwach Unii Europejskiej. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na technologię betonu komórkowego oraz jego właściwości, które doskonale wpisują się w wymagania Dyrektywy EPBD.

The article describes the current requirements of the Energy Directive (EPBD) related to the energy performance of buildings and presents the implementation status of this directive in selected countries of the European Union. Particular attention was paid to the autoclaved aerated concrete technology and its properties, which perfectly fit into the requirements of the EPBD.

The amendment of existing ministerial Ordinance on technical criteria to bemet by buildings and their location published in November 2012 and available on Ministry web page presented new admissible values of non renewable primary energy to bemet by all buildings in Poland. The article examines proposed values for few types of buildings: residential, single family, school, hospital and commercial. The conclusions indicate necessity for further work on these values.
