In this article, we present the results of a study of the use of selected artificial neural network architectures for the classification of marine objects generating acoustic signals. The training data were acquired from various types of platform, including manned underwater vehicles, autonomous underwater vehicles, diver propulsion vehicles, surface vessels, and high-speed motorboats. A total of 14 models were trained and evaluated on two complementary datasets, consisting of a simulated submarine dataset and a real-world hydroacoustic dataset acquired with a DigitalHyd TP-1 hydrophone within the NARLUGA system. We considered the following neural network architectures: multi-layer perceptron, long short-term memory, gated recurrent unit, and convolutional neural network. This paper provides a detailed description of the model architectures, the training parameters, and the preprocessing steps used to adapt the data representation to each type of model. On the simulated dataset, feature-based models (based on gammatone cepstral coefficients) achieved a test accuracy of above 99%, whereas recurrent models trained directly on long raw sequences did not converge under the training settings used here. On the real-world dataset, the best feature-based model reached a weighted test accuracy of approximately 85%. The results confirm the validity of deep-learning-based algorithms for passive hydroacoustic classification, and highlight the importance of feature representation for robust performance and practical deployment.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę sprawności energetycznej napędu dla biomimetycznego pojazdu podwodnego w funkcji algorytmów sterowania. Projekt i wykonanie zrealizowano z uwagi na znaczące zalety wynikające z stosowania napędów falowych w pojazdach podwodnych. Wyszczególniono sprawności w odniesieniu matematycznym do napędów falowych.

The article presents an analysis of the energy efficiency of the propulsion system for a biomimetic underwater vehicle as a function of control algorithms. The design and implementation were carried out due to the significant advantages of using undulating propulsion in underwater vehicles. The energy efficiencies are specified with mathematical reference to undulating propulsion systems. The vehicle’s structure and its parameters are presented, along with the prepared laboratory test setup. Based on the implemented control algorithms and the conducted experiments, it was demonstrated that the relationship between energy efficiency and different control algorithms is non-linear. The obtained results depend on the frequency and amplitude of fin operation. The applied research allowed for an extension of the operational time of the biomimetic underwater vehicle compared to the baseline control algorithm.

W artykule przedstawiono projekt i realizację bezzałogowego pojazdu podwodnego o napędzie hybrydowym.

The article presents the design and implementation of an unmanned underwater vehicle with hybrid propulsion system. The vehicle can be controlled remotely as well as it has the ability to reach the indicated area in order to carry out reconnaissance and attack by detonating the carried load or self-destructing. The article presents both the hardware and software layers as well as the results of preliminary tests.

The article is a presentation, and detailed description of a mobile, vehicular robot whose task is to support the alarm sub-unit. The project was created in response to the increasing need for monitoring, and recognition of the areas. The robot's interface was created with the use of integrated development environments for Python. The software implementation was possible due to a minicomputer Raspberry Pi 4 B. The robot's frame is made out of components which are based on the main chassis. The robot is equipped with compatible sensors and cameras. Those, combined with the interface, are able to give a real-time preview of the area in which the robot is in. This particular vehicular robot is designed to eliminate the risks caused by tasks of alarm sub-unit, by giving the real-time preview, and analysis of the currently watched area. In addition, it can be used to inspect soldiers in the containment zones, and to help with the identification of unknown objects.

W artykule zaprezentowano mobilnego robota kołowego do wsparcia pododdziału alarmowego.
