Purpose: The rapid growth of sustainable finance, crucial for achieving SDGs, has led to a significant intensification of greenwashing—the deliberate misrepresentation of sustainability efforts. This study addresses a research gap by identifying and analyzing specific greenwashing strategies in the financial sector (including insurance products) and assessing their systemic impact on the achievement of SDGs and critical consumer/investor trust. Methodology: The research methodology combines a systematic literature review and an in-depth analysis of key EU legal acts (SFDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, and Green Claims Directive) to establish a theoretical framework. This is supported by an empirical component involving the content analysis of non-financial reports and the results of investor surveys. Findings: The study concludes that the scale of greenwashing necessitates its classification as a real systemic risk, rather than merely a reputational issue, due to its potential for misallocating capital. Effective countermeasures require the synergistic application of strict regulatory frameworks, robust internal sector control, and continuous empirical monitoring. Rebuilding trust in the sustainable transition hinges on the complete standardization, auditability, and transparency of all ESG data. Regulatory context: The EU regulatory system is focused on enforcing consistency between marketing claims and actual ESG policy. We recommend systemic implementation of the Green Claims Directive (GCD) and the introduction of a uniform European labeling system ("EU Green Label") for financial products based on objective criteria. Furthermore, clear guidelines on the presentation of ESG data in promotional materials and mandatory publication of the methodology used for investment sustainability assessment are essential for cross-border comparability and market credibility. Social implications: The financial services sector plays a crucial role as a capital allocator, channeling funds to projects that support sustainable development goals, such as renewable energy sources or the improvement of energy efficiency. Practical implications: The systemic level (regulatory and supervisory) should focus on limiting the scope for greenwashing and increasing transparency in environmental communication through the implementation and enforcement of the Green Claims Directive (GCD). Detailed guidelines are necessary regarding the presentation of ESG data in promotional materials and financial reports (analogous to SFDR requirements), as well as the introduction of a uniform European labeling system for financial products (e.g., „EU Green Label”) based on objective environmental criteria. Harmonization of the classification of nonfinancial data (EU Taxonomy, CSRD) is essential for cross-border comparability. With a view to the transparency of ESG data and methodologies, financial institutions should publish the methodology used to assess the sustainability of investments and products (e.g., scoring models, data sources, exclusion criteria). Originality: This paper fills a gap by providing a detailed analysis of strategies like greenlighting and greenhushing and evaluating the effectiveness of the current EU regulatory response, offering specific, actionable recommendations to safeguard the sustainable finance market's integrity and ensure its effectiveness in driving real environmental change.

Digitalization and virtualization in the era of the Industry 4.0 adjust the nature of finance and interaction between market participants. Many financial services are transferred to the virtual plane allowing the development of alternative finance - raising funds and carrying out borrowings through online platforms. Based on the analysis of the influence of factors on the alternative finance development, the paper formulates five hypotheses on the dependence of the amount of financial resources attracted through online platforms on the quantitative characteristics of the relevant factors. The goal is to study the factors of online financing service as an alternative to traditional financial intermediaries (including banks) using the method of correlation analysis. As the quantitative parameters of each factor, the use of commonly accepted indices and individual relative indicators is proposed. The results of the study showed 1) the significant impact of the country's economic development on the degree of the alternative finance development; 2) the strong direct influence of financial inclusion and the level of innovation of the country on the volume of alternative finance; 3) the lack of direct influence of information technology and the absence of the regulatory influence of the state on the development of the alternative finance market.

EN
The recent developments in banking and insurance have transformed the financial system, however, it is restricted only to certain segments of the society, excluding others. i.e. ``financial exclusion''. People with low incomes, cannot access mainstream financial products such as bank accounts, credit, remittances and payment services, financial advisory services, insurance facilities, etc. This situation is detrimental for a nation's economy as micro savings are not properly channelized into the productive sectors of the economy. This study explores to find the current status of financial inclusion in India, analyze the government's effort through various policies like MGNREGA, DBT, PMJDY etc. The study is based on secondary information from the Governmental committees' reports and primary information from six states of India before the launch of PMJDY. The post PMJDY status is reviewed only through the secondary information published in Government reports. It is found that PMJDY has increased the number of Bank accounts through diluting KYC for marginalized and deprived citizens but transactions in the account is very limited. A good number of accounts are dormant in the want of sufficient income to be routed through that account or lack of savings to be deposited. It is recommended to policy makers to concentrate on the creation of job opportunities for all to have complete financial inclusion in India.

Integracja usług finansowych umożliwia wzrost efektywności działania, dlatego też Unia Europejska przywiązuje do tego zagadnienia dużą wagę i próbuje stworzyć wspólny europejski rynek finansowy.
